Getting caught up on a backlog of WTF@TFW. I apologize for bumping this thread, but I wanted to answer Vangelus' question about what gives fans tunnel vision and makes them take things more seriously then they probably should.
To me it's parallels. Paraellels between the fictional world of the franchise and the real world. It's not something that I really think about when it comes to Transformers, but it is something I run into with Warcraft.
I won't go into details, but I had family who died in the Holocaust. There is an event in Warcraft's backstory that draws on the Holocaust (the genocide of the Draenei, for those in the know). It's impossible for me to discuss it in a level headed manner because I think about the fictional event in terms of the real atrocity it was based off of. Some orc fan enters it and it's like their own fandom just reeks of the approval of the mass slaughter of my own family.
Now here's the thing. I KNOW that's not the case. Liking Warcraft orcs does not make one a neo-Nazi. The event in question draws on a real tragedy and hits the right serious of emotions, however, to sort of fry the logic centres of my brain.
Now do I want to change that about myself? You bet.

I didn't know the show was on youtube(how low of those who do it), no I download the show from the link Vangelus supplies in the topic for each episode. I listen to older shows as they can be a good way to pass the time and somewhat enjoyable, I tend to binge listen. The first one I listened to I think was 130 so now that I have caught up on more recent ones I decided to go back to the older ones.

I seriously love how you guys poke at how ridiculously angry or serious some fans get about the silliest things. I don't care how much money we all spend on the stuff, its supposed to be a fun hobby based around kid stuff so people definitely need to lighten up a bit.

The "problems" with Roadbuster's hips is it seems that the outward motion should be ratcheted but aren't. But think roadbuster and skybyte turned out really good like most of the recent voyagers
Also I love to see Kicker in the comics plus Doctor Arkeville and make Sari a Cybertronian based android he made because drama. And yes Intergalactic political Alexis is an awesome idea.
