It’s time for some 1986 love!

Announced at tonight’s BotCon 2014 fan event at Universal Studios in California, the 2014 Hall of Fame inductees are Arcee (Who recieved the most votes) and Rodimus for the fictional side of Transformers, and Stan Bush for the human inductee! Congratulations to all three winners, fictional or not!

That was a great panel. It's too bad they didn't take any questions so I can tell them Michael Bay sucks

The event was a lot of fun.

The panel was somewhat entertaining, but I tried to not have any expectations, because this event was open for non-Botcon attendees through Universal, so there were probably some casual fans that don't have the knowledge that most of us have when it comes to Transformers.

I don't understand the idea that since they didn't announce voice actors that some how they don't talk. Other than the toys and renders I don't believe we have seen them TF in any of the trailers, which doesn't mean they don't, it could mean they are saving it as a surprise in the film.

I would say my biggest frustration of the whole event is they didn't let us know in advance that there would be 0 food options (or at least I couldn't find any), I was doing rides and shopping until 8 and figured I'd eat and head to the panel at 9. It took a while before I found anywhere to eat in the park, and that place was only open until 8:30. It's a pretty minor frustration, but that's all there was to really complain about, the event was just a lot of fun.

Even if we ignore producers and designers for a second, theres still tons of voice actors who deserve a spot. I mean… Michael Bay is in it… but not Frank Welker? Thats kind of gross.

Incoming BW fan rage expected. I would be upset as a BIG BW fan but I realize everyone has their own flavor of the TF fandom they like best.

Not sure if I'm misunderstanding your comment or if you misunderstood mine. I love the BW cast! They're my absolute favorite. When I said that all other TFs would fall before the BW cast, I meant that the BW cast would win in a personality contest.

1. Because there's only one Dinobot in the multiverse, he's not a "core character."
2. Because there hasn't been a new Dinobot since 2008, and in that time there have been dozens of Soundwaves.
3. Because Soundwave's appearance, voice, and gimmick are iconic outside of the hardcore fan segment; Dinobot's isn't.
4. Because sharing a name with a popular subgroup is actually a giant marketing pain in the ass.
5. Dinobot doesn't fit into "Aligned," which was the BIG push when the Hall of Fame started.

I'm sorry, but you just typed me out one big preconceived notion and then start lecturing me about having them? And where were my "preconceived notions" again?

I'm not really sure why you're trying to pick a fight, when a) you weren't being addressed and b) the person who was being addressed was addressed politely.

In the Ed Norton 2008 Hulk Film (which is part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe) he only said, Leave me Alone; Hulk SMASH!; Betty. the rest were roarings and growlings

in the Avengers (also part of the MCU) he only said Puny God, the rest were roarings and growlings

And if we're looking strictly at character and personality, then every TF should fall before the BW cast every year (hehehe). But it's not just that- we're also looking at their importance as icons.

Bit of constructive criticism: I love the panel coverage and refresh the home page and news board like a madman during this time of year, but during panels when we get vague reports like:

As a reader who can't be at the convention I'd really love to have more reporting on points like that instead of just a vague bullet point "oh they're talking about X".

Again, not trying to sound unappreciative, cause I know a ton of hard work goes into covering these conventions, I just think that the reporting members should try to keep in mind even if they find part of a presentation boring other viewers of the site may actually care. Hope this helps in everyone's plans going forward
