Warbotron have updated their Facebook page with images of their unofficial Combaticon Brawl, WB01-B “Noisy”. This unlicensed Transformer is heavily based on the original 1986 Decepticon Brawl, and comes with an assortment of weapons including the ability to wield the tank gun as a rifle. Check out the new images and see what you make of this new release.

waiting on my copy from BBTS as well.

I got the OS and it was seemingly inferior quality. The feet/ankles on brawl were super loose, making it really difficult for him to stand.
I could have gotten a lemon set (the other figures seemed okay) but I still got a semi inferior feel of the material compared to the original.

All depends on your display preferences. I find the 15 inch combiner to be perfect, but they are all but phased out with everyone going to mp or titan scale with thier combiner.

The oversized one seems to be the same price. How is the quality on it and is it the better option?
Grouch
Thanks.

What is the combiner height?

Mine shipped today. If it gets here before any one else’s, I’ll let y’all know. On the West Coast so it’ll probably be next week.

Same here, but I am also going to wait to ship it.

BBTS got my Warbotron set in. I'll be waiting to ship mine, but I'm curious what the box is like if anyone ships theirs sooner.

I managed to take it apart with some tools.
I also did a mod someone posted here in 2015 by opening the peg itself and shaving the plastic of the parts that hold the spring.

I have the original release and the only limb that comes out easy is Vortex. I usually take a small flathead screwdriver and push the tab in with that while pulling on the limb.

So I've just received the re-issue of this set, and whilst it's great and I'm pretty impressed with it; my air burst is stuck in the combiner port. Even pushing the tabs in doesn't help.
I've taken him and onslaught apart in an attempt to get it out, but if anyone has any ideas, please could you post them!

Yeah, I've been thinking a USKO of this set would be great for Swindle and probably Onslaught as individual bots, but then the others would be too small. Personally the only Combaticons I care much about having are Swindle and Onslaught (and I'm happy to use the old Universe figure as my Onslaught), but I understand most fans would want the complete set.
Thinking about his scale more though, he looks like he'd be roughly the same size as T30 Roadbuster, and given that they turn into the same sort of vehicle, that helps me rationalize him being big a bit better. I just like the idea of him being a small, wiry kind of guy.
Thundercracker Blue
Yeah, I know what you mean. Voyager is a stretch for Swindle, but the Combaticons (and Protectobots) are really hard to scale individually. Thats a challenge, because to me, the individual members of a team are just as important as the combined mode. That’s why I never really considered the Jinbao OSKO version: the combined scale might be good for some folks, but as for as I’m concerned a Leader class-sized Swindle is a bridge too far.
Optimus1138
Thanks, that scale actually doesn't look as bad as I expected. Still not sure how I feel about him being that tall in robot mode but the vehicle mode size looks fine to me.

Basically old-school Voyager sized:View attachment 28966425

I had the original Warbotron Computron years ago but sold it and bought the re release last year (ironically by mistake as thought it was the Maketoys one). Plastic quality is same as the original and mine did have die-cast in the feet. It did come in a plain cardboard box like all other re releases also. My money on this would be these recent releases are genuine but sourced from two different places; old unsold stock they had sitting in a warehouse and a quick run using the old moulds with maybe a corner cut if some releases lacked die-cast as claimed. It's not unheard of for such a thing to make quick easy cash. Their probably sourcing some cash to finish their Hotspot and maybe secure some finances for a few other projects, this would also explain the recent Prime re release and how there was suddenly a KO of it.
Or, and tinfoil here, they handed the moulds to Daban and agreed to let Daban use the old Warbotron name to sell them as its technically defunct now. They did a perfect 1 to 1 on the Daban copies of their Devastator, I could see such a thing happening for a quick cash injection.

Ah. That makes more sense. Hmm. Is it worth the asking priceice, then? Subjective, but still…
