It's the new series pirates vs knights alpha trion is the only KO looking one

The theme is irrelevant this year. It has nothing to do with the character choices like in previous years. Cannonball, Ferak, Scorponok, Devcon… We're just getting a random bunch of toys unconnected to each other.
But I'm not complaining.

Who's to say they wont? We got a lot of AM's with the subs this year maybe that'll carry over to botcon.
Scaleface
Could have included a recolor of AM Starscream's Micron as a parrot or something.
LegendAntihero
It would be good if they managed to use the Breakdown mold seeing as how we never got it over here.

Forget the figure reveal, I'm impatiently awaiting Rampage & Transmutate!
ACE STRIKER
I see it now. I hope they give you guys the figure you all are wanting. And not some crap mould.

Come on Club Mag, show up at my door. I want to see the first reveal!!
Lumpy
When will the first figure be revealed? That might help with some of the borderline hostility coming from some people, though I'm also sure it'll make someone even more angry cuz it's not what they wanted. Can't please them all.
that would be pretty cool.
I hope so, because that mold is great and it'd be a great way for other fans to get their hands on it.
Primal Sabbath
Ah, if I'm not mistaken fan rage is = logic/sense in the TF fandom, though…. Right?
He's supposed to be the first figure reveal in the next magazine, IIRC.
MechaV
But…there is.
Fun Pub already said there is.
The teaser image is even Cannonball's deco from the original toy.
ACE STRIKER
You guys are going to be real bent out of shape when it turns out there isn't even a cannonball in the set.
Cast
Oh they totally could use any tooling as cannonball, he is pre set up for that very thing, but I am not talking about sense or logic or even character history, I am talking about fan rage.
Primal Sabbath
Also, who's to say this Cannonball isn't a totally new character all on it's own (which that's what it's supposed to be, right?). I mean, we remember that a Cannonball that fits Cybertron Cannonball's appearance bit the space dust in Wingsverse (IIRC), why should the next Cannonball look exactly like him? Maybe they'll throw us for a loop with this character reveal? Although doubtful. I'm hoping they surprise us with some "left-field" deco.

All it really takes is a sticker set to turn silas breakdown into cannonball, it might be a reason the club wont do it, that said I think the fan outcry if they don't use him as cannonball would be so loud I can here it echoing backwards in time from here.
PoweredConvoy
Breakdown may have been made with US Safety laws in mind.
TakaraTomy tends to do that with their main release figures even if they don't see a release here (or at least right away).
It's stuff like their one off lines where they may not have designed the figures with that in mind (Alternity, GT, Device Label, Disney Label, Capbots, etc).

We'll find out soon enough… If they're able to use the mold, it's a no-brainer for Cannonball.
PoweredConvoy
Yes but they still have the Transformers brand and logo on it and have to meet those child safety regulations. These exclusives could still end up in the hands of children. Hasbro would not be happy if they got bad PR because something didn't meet safety regulations.
They still do, despite that descriptor. Anything that goes through Hasbro has to be able to be safe enough for a child.

Chances are, it's a combination of safety standards (which I'm not sure how that figure fails to meet those standards, then again, I don't own it), AND it would cost too much. As far as can the club use it goes… I wouldn't see why not. Again, I think since they don't specifically market to kids (even though their website and logo is posted on EVERY Transformers product out at retail, which is FOR kids) that they'll be able to use it. Who knows? I'm still holding out for Cannonball being TFP Kup. But if it IS Breakdown, I'm more than happy with that too.
I think my biggest thing right now (as my previous posts will point to) is if we'll get Dai Atlas… And if we DO, praying forever it isn't Generations Blitzwing/Doubledealer. Which I don't see them using it due to all of the flak the mold gets for it's own design flaws. Maybe for Shattered Glass Blitzwing or something
