There’s a new listing on Amazon.com for Transformers Classics Volume 7 from IDW Publishing. The listing says this collection will contain issues #77-80 of the classic Marvel G1 series, along with the Headmasters four issue mini-series, and the three issue Movie Adaptation.
Transformers Classics Volume 7 has a list price of $29.99 (currently listed at $21.25) and is due out July 8th, 2014.

I find Bellomo's notes and introductions to be turgid, overwrought and sycophantic (moreso in the Joe Complete HCs for that last one).
Oh and I didn't realise the covers were all reused, I thought they were brand new. While that (sort of) explains Blitzwing, it still doesn't explain having Prowl on v5 (which he's not in) especially if they had a Ratchet cover to use.

So when are we getting the Universe issues then… In this volume or a later one?
LegendAntihero
It will? If that's the case, I change my mind about not buying it.

Cool. I plan on using a free $20 giftcard on volume 7 and end up getting it for around $1.25. Anyone who has So Cal Gas there's a $10 amazon giftcard promotion if you sign up for bill alerts to your email.

Ratchet:
Yeah, the G.I. Joe Complete descriptions are usually wrong on Amazon, though I really want the Movie and Headmasters minis included….

Love these books.
According to Bellomo, this volume WILL contain the Universe profile mini series as well, so unless IDW have pulled an 11th hour switcheroo, I think this solicit is slightly inaccurate (so what's new!)
LegendAntihero
I don't need it cause I've already got the first edition of IDW's classic trade but its good to know they're finishing off the new line. I don't like buying these because they use newpaper print. It's hard to get stains off the pages

I LOVE Bellomo's contributions to these books!

The covers have all been reused artwork from Guido's retailer incentive covers from IDW's Inflitration series, which means volume 7 will be either Ratchet or Ironhide.
And the weirdest thing about the Man of Iron reprint is that it uses the UK Collected Comics colouring, apart from the last page which is the Marvel US version.

I wonder which random character will appear on the cover of this volume? They'll have a job topping Blitzwing on v6. Searchlight maybe? Or Backstreet?
As much as I like this reprint series of trades, there have been some very odd choices with it. The Prowl and Blitzwing covers. Putting Headmasters at the end instead of slotting it into reading order. Reprinting Man of Iron (especially when it's in Classics UK anyway). Hiring Mark Bellomo to write notes.
Maybe as soon as this volume comes out they'll announce a series of HCs combining everything into reading order, like they did with GI Joe.

It sure is, volume 5 is being worked on at the moment!
Oracle_Aesir
Might buy that just for the Movie Adaptation

May have to pick this up.

Finally!
Wish I didn't have to wait till July to finish the last 4 issues though! haha

You know what's sad? I've stared at that cover about 700 times and only now have I noticed Optimus Prime's silhouette behind Bludgeon.

I'm really hoping there will be a Vol. 8 or a volume that is visually similiar collecting RG1

Hoping this means Classics UK is continuing too. I was holding out for this one in the hopes of getting the Universe reprints, I guess I'll wait for a solicit from IDW or to hear from someone who buys this volume to confirm one way or the other if those are in there as I have the rest of these series reprinted in the Classic TF volumes IDW did a few years back.

Man, I think I've had v6 for a few months now!
Glad this has been announced. How awesome would it be if IDW released the Regeneration books in matching tpbs?

Preordered
jourdo
Mine is still listed as trying to get. I get periodic emails saying they are still trying to get a copy for me. Strange because I preordered it well before it was released.
They did the same thing to me way back in the early IDW days as well.
I'll still preorder this one.
