The latest Transformers Collectors Club magazine has started to hit mailboxes, and as previously reported, the issue shows off the Transformers Generations 2014 Deluxe Wave 3. On show are Rattrap (pictured from the front cover image), Tankor and Crosscut.
Rattrap is as you can see in the image based on his season 1 beast mode. The image in the magazine shows Rattrap comes with two guns, most likely they combine to make the larger gun shown on the cover. His beast mode is an organic rat, nicely detailed but it seems to lack some poseability.
Tankor is likely to be the star of this assortment, for those wanting show-accurate Beast Machines toys. His robot form is nearly spot-on to how the character looked in the Beast Machines series, with the tank mode sporting the semi-exposed head which was something of a trademark for Tankor. Plus he sports a Vehicon faction symbol – making the Vehicons the sixth faction represented in the current Transformers Generations series.
Crosscut is as some anticipated a silver redeco of Skids, with a new head. The new head seems to be based on the original alternate head design of Diaclone Skids, later used on the exclusive E-Hobby Crosscut and Generations book Screech figures.
The collector’s club magazine also gives some news on Botcon 2014. The anniversary blow-out show’s location and dates are now set, and an announcement is coming soon, pending a rewrite of the registration software to make sure the registration process is as smooth as possible for everyone. Here’s hoping that Fun Publications don’t keep us hanging on that one too long!

Has anyone in the United Kingdom recieved their copy of issue 54 yet? I only thought about it this morning as I had expected it about now.

But that's not the toy that appeared in the comic, it's the Deluxe Megatron 10th anniversary Beast Wars toy.
It was this toy:
In these colors:
Given that 4 of the toys from this scene already exist (3 are even common and cheap to own!), they could produce the two other deluxes for a Botcon 2 pack. They could even use the Generations Waspinator for the SG Waspinator.
Cast
Oh I hope so, that would a very cool set that I wouldn't feel bad about skipping.

Remember that FOC Grimlock with BW Megatron head? We always assumed thay was a Generations toy – what if it was a Botcon 2014 testshot?
Could be a Shattered Glass Dawn of Futures Past kind of thing…

I'm surprised you're still a member since you've got a picture of Swindle with a hand of credit cards.

They appeared in art form in one frame of the comic, but as mentioned, four of them are based on existing toys, the other two are existing toy molds recolored into colors those toys have not been released in (yet).
Existing toys:
SG Scorponok is the old Botcon '99 Sandstorm toy.
SG Terrorsaur is the Beast Wars Lazorbeak toy.
SG Tarantulas is the Fox Kids recolor Transmetal Tarantulas toy.
SG Dinobot is the Universe Deluxe Dinobot toy.
Recolors that don't exist:
SG Megatron is the 10th Anniversary Beast Wars Deluxe Megatron toy in black, white and red.
SG Waspinator is the Waspinator toy in the colors of Cheetor (sorta close to Fox Kids Waspinator or Beast Wars Buzzsaw, but not identical).
f-primusunicron
oh right, but are they toy repaints or just the design?
Scaleface
The SG Beast Wars Predacons appeared on the last page of the comic, but the rules on this board prohibit us from posting those images.
f-primusunicron
whats up with that sg predacon thing? any images or something?
Scaleface
So that SG Predacon lineup is 4 existing toys, and 2 possible recolors. Anyone else betting the next Botcon or Subscription service will have SG Waspinator from the Generations Waspinator and SG Megatron from the 10th Anniversary Megatron toys as exclusives?
What would the SG Predacon personalities be anyways?
My guess:
SG Megatron – Honorable captain in the Predacon exploration fleet. Says "No." a lot.
SG Scorponok – Science officer, a gentle soul.
SG Terrorsaur – Incredibly loyal, has a soft voice.
SG Waspinator – Proud of the fact the he always comed out on top in battle without a scratch!
SG Dinobot – Strongly believes the ends justifies the means. Thinks Megatron is too distracted with honor and doing what's right.

I mean really come on man we know where and when it is ,just about everyone knows its on the Pasadena web site along with the dates. Also stop making ppl wait to make plans for your guys "BLOW-OUT" as Brian said.

I received my issue last week. Was this suppose to have the Rattrap cover or is that the next issue?
Scaleface
It's not the Fox Kids recolor either. Sorry.
Anyone else notice how the Menagerie section on the Predacons tied in the end of The Rebirth with Beast Wars? Razorclaw was one of the few Decepticon leaders left on Cybertron after Galvatron and Scorponok went flying off, so Razorclaw took over leadership of the Decepticons. It also mentioned how the Predacons seemed to be incorporating Micromaster and Pretender tech, making small efficient Predacons with potential for organic alt modes…
Also, the art work used for Predaking, it's the same artwork that Unique Toys based War Lord on!

SG, hmr, well that explains the "noooo".
Though I think I prefer the all-fembot idea (even if wrong) to SG Beast Wars…

You guys sure that SG Waspinator isn't the Fox Kids repaint of the original Waspinator?
I know the grey halves of the Wasp head were colored yellow in the comic, but it could still be the stand-in.
Would have been cool had they used the "regular/non-mutant" head to add to the whole "mirror universe" thing.
Scaleface
Buzzsaw toy has a purple head, and wasp green eyes. This is a yellow head and purple wasp eyes. There are also many other small differences.
If you were customizing SG Waspinator, you could probably do it easily with a repainted Buzzsaw, but it's not a perfect match, so I didn't say it was just the Buzzsaw toy.
N_M_S
I think that is just the Buzzsaw release.
Scaleface
That that lineup in the comics:
Terrorsaur: Beast Wars Lazorbeak toy
Waspinator: Waspinator toy in Cheetor colors
Tarantulas: Fox Kids Transmetal Tarantulas toy
Megatron: 10th Anniversary Deluxe BW Megatron toy in the colors of BW Optimus Primal gorilla toy
Dinobot: Universe Dinobot toy
Scorponok: Botcon 1999 Sandstorm toy
Correct?
Also, it looks like Transtech Rhinox is a recolor/remold of Generations Darkmount/Skullgrin.

In regards to the comic…

And yet people's inane bitching over it is enshrined on the Internet forever.
