Courtesy of the Snakas Toy Blog via Autobase Aichi, we now have some in-hand photos of Generations Armada Starscream, and the Minicon Assault Team (aka, Centuritron.) These in-hand photos compare the various toys with other Unicron Trilogy era releases, such as Armada + Energon Starscream and Armada/Energon Perceptor.
Armada Starscream and Centuritron are part of the Generations 2014 Wave 2 Deluxe assortment (or IDW Wave 4) alongside Fall of Cybertron Skywarp and Scoop.

Takara is definitely going to bring out a proper red colour scheme for Gen. Armada Starscream for sure. Passing on him till their's is announced. Also, loving the Decepticon 3 bot combiner. Possibly the only kind of gestalt I'm considering buying.

remold
Please Has/tak, for the remolds etc, use this starscream mold, remove the shoulder guns, make a new head and use it for the G2, Robot Masters & Machine Wars jets. Here you can make like 20 figures in the classics/generations for the next 3 years… Please Please.

Just purchased the Minicons and Starscream from my local comic book store. Wanted to save one for christmas but may open them both now as I can't decide which one i'd save!

Just can't wait to see how is the paint apps will be for the takara version of armada starcsream….

An orange, McDonald's size/quality Armada Starscream is a huge pass for me. Please don't let the Masterpiece line end anytime soon.
BWfan86
is it just me or does anyone else think that his shade of red is "off"? Based on his appearance in the comics and the original promotional images, it should be a darker shade of red. This looks more orange than red to me…

as a figure, starscream is starting to grow on me, I'll probably end up repurposing him as someone else, as I'm not really a fan of the character, but I am starting to like the figure.
Starscream0625
The Starscream mold looks really well done, but he's a sea of red. Perhaps the Armada toy is still the best choice, but this one here is mine as I don't own the Armada figure. Centuritron is cool, but I'm just not interested in him.

Not to mention we have to consider long term how these figures will hold up over time now. Hasbro not only is hollowing out figures to the point of nonsense but now they are trying any way they can to not use pins where needed. They are depending on friction joints and clip on joints to hold things together. The latest victim are the hand swivels. No more pins. Just friction. Pop goes the fist and do you find it? Ugh.

Every time I see the Minicons I want them more and more.

Can't decide which road to take: get the old armada toy with better size and colors, and hope I can improve the articulation? Or get the much better articulated generations, paint it up, and deal with the size? Hmmm…

"Windshear is a fembot" – Yeah
"Runway is her gay male friend?" – Not gay, at worst a Robisexual if anything at all =P

Everyone has different anecdotal experiences. Whatever data Hasbro or Walmart collects on Transformers sales, they aren't sharing.
Therefore we should all acknowledge that the certainly level of any statement we write or read on this board about the global sales of Transformers is very very low.

Soo can't wait to get the takara version of armada starcsream

The best part about this latest news post is that reviewers are getting their pre-release figures shipped to them which means cool reviews are just around the corner!!!

… Lot of butt shots in this gallery.
Wonder what the articulation of the Minicon combiner would be like.

I'm a firm believer that everyone is entitled to their own opinion, however, I would have to say that there are those who may certainly disagree. Transformers just about fly off of the shelves of my Walmart. Just as soon as a new wave hits, I try to pick up everything I"m interested in because within a few days there's not much left. I don't know if it's the collectors or the parents, but somebody's buying.
GizmoTron
It's no secret that you have no facts or data to back up these claims.
Transformers are selling better right now than they did even in the 80's, and current Generations toys are using the same quality of plastic that Hasbro/Takara has used for the entire CHUG line.

This.

You know, for what it's worth, Armada Starscream isn't that bad. However, say what you will about the original and the arms, blockiness, he's still got sound effects, a minicon, a better gimmick with the wing sword, and he's a far sight bigger. I would say if you can't locate an original, this is your go to for scale, but keep in mind, this new version is the IDW universe version.
But if you want to know why Starscream in the Armada universe was so unbelievably awesome, go get or find the show.
