Thanks to folks over on ACToys, we have a look at TFC Toys Not Groove and Not Streetwise. The figures are 3d models for now, but show how Not-Defensor is shaping up. Check out the shots after the break.

Cool, I'll definitely buy this.

I will wait till the final colored combiner mode before I decide. As much as I like combiners, I'm going to be very patient, especially from TFC.

no. don't like the look of new mustangs. prefer the 300zx.
a tommahawk is not a police bike.
lord know what else they are going to do.
I've had my full of tfc's look and style. so I'm out.
I'm going to go with the notion that warbotron will do Defensor, and they will stay closer to what it should look like. TFC is venturing out of my zone.
and btw I thought it was common knowledge that Japan uses fast sporty cars for their police force. anyway I'm passing on this set. there is nothing tfc can really show me nowadays, to get me interested or excited about their products anymore. I was nearly excited about defensor. but not anymore. with the birth of so many new, and dare I say better 3rd parties, we don't need to rely on them for their combiners at their size. the only thing that remains unseen is the quality of new said companies. but for now i'll keep the faith.
For those that like it, great. I hope you enjoy it, and I hope TFC doesn't pull a sirens of defensor add-on set. funny thing though. we've almost seen more of defensor than ares…. when are they going to show off that figure? I'm not buying it, but I was curious as to how it looked.

I'm pretty sure we were all thinking the U.S. But if you all want to pick straws, I really don't care. This still doesn't change the fact that there is absolutely nothing stopping them from using modern vehicles for these figs. Tomahawk police bike is no more farfetched than a Lamborghini Fire Chief's car or whatnot.
Transformed
If style were his thing, sure. Groove is laid back, he doesn't care for things like that. The Tomahawk is a very stylish looking motorcycle.

I guess some folks are lookin at this the wrong way, I mean if he is a Police bike, and that Police bike is a Dodge Tomahawk, then this is the most badass Police force on the planet that he took his alt from and the other guys have to keep pace! I Think I'm down for this based on a ballsy re-imagining alone. ( But as said before, tha face better be a familiar one to the character or else no dice.)
donxavier
Looks like Defensor is getting some new blue fluffy slippers for Christmas.

I don't mind at all – 9 times out of 10 I see the vehicle mode more as the 'clothes' a Cybertronian wears. I don't mind so long as the 'spirit' is maintained (Starscream is a jet of some kind, Seacons are aquatic in theme, the Terrorcons are beasts, etc) and the 'face' goes relatively unchanged.
Things like vehicle changes are far less annoying than TFC Hercules' component heads having eyes where they should have visors and so on. The little things that actual impact the character… that's what should stand out and be noted.

Not Hyped at all
Looking forward to Warbotron, getting Feral rex as I have Bovis already

Not sure if you're serious…heh

As it stands, no. I don't like the look of Streetwise, and Groove just isn't working for me as Groove (although he'd make a damn good Override or Earth mode Springarm)
It would take Hot Spot and the combined mode to be mindblowingly good for me to consider it, and then I'd still scratch build myself a Groove.
Zavien
Oh boy, you shouldn't have asked that. Lol depends on who you ask.
DarkPrinceofKaon
Are people into this set or our you guys out. I can't quite get a vibe from the fandom on this one.
Would you buy these?
UltraMagnus2008
Red Alert wasn't part of this team or discussion. Blinders? Sure if by that you mean I appreciate the nostalgia of traditional looking Combiners. The bot mode is what really kills it for me. There's a simple solution that they could have gone with here. But it may be out of their league. Look at FP's Diesel if they'd gone with a similar combiner leg configuration they could have used a deluxe sized Chopper and been fine given Hotspots parts could have bulked him up at the sides. And at the same time been hidden completely behind Streetwise. If you guys like him, ok, but to me at just a technical level he looks like a step backwards from any of my Uranos bots
Ah Ninja'd thanks
Trent
Actually, yes they have. They were used in Japan
LazyAza
It's those phat ass wheels man, the Emporer would approve.

TFC Groove reminds me of Afterburner

+1.

It's called stepping outside the box and, to me, it is a welcomed addition.
Nothing, absolutely NOTHING, is stopping from deco'ing these figs in law enforcement colors. Btw, Nissan/Datsun's coupes was never been an "official" law enforcement vehicle, neither was Lamborghini an official Fire Department vehicle, yet there Streetwise and Red Alert. How is this Tomahawk any different?
This is blinders again folks (weather you all want to accept/admit it or not).
Zress Tayasu
because the fandom responds SO WELL to other styles, right? if they did anything different they'd be getting bitched at about how it "didn't look like a transformer".
