For our next gallery update, we would like to draw your attention to some extensive galleries of the Mech ideas Demoltion Crue – Apex and Geminus, unofficial and unlicensed versions of Generation 1 Topspin and Twin Twist.
Mech ideas are a relative newcomer on the third party scene, but their first full figure releases set the bar plenty high. Apex and Geminus share a basic body type, varying up the molding on the legs, shoulders, head and backpack to produce their unique robot and alternate modes. The designs are true to the original Jumpstarters, even if the alternate modes feel a little boxy. They are fantastic toys through and through though, with astonishing levels of poseability, excellent detail, and a good selection of accessories. There’s lots of nice little touches in the designs, such as the double-jointed elbows, which make these toys for me. Best of all, unlike a lot of third party releases, they are not overly expensive – you feel like you are getting value for money with the Demolition Crue.
Our galleries for this pair are now online, over 150 pictures for each toy – check them out by opening the links below:

As best as I can recall I think I used the second smallest on mine and they fit really well.
Ironhide4
Gonna put the red autobot symbols on them with white background from reprolabels, is the smallest ones the best fit or is the second smallest symbols the best fit on these guys chests?
GenericCon
I'm with Sol, the FoC Jumpstarters are just reprints/retools. At least these guys look right.
Sol Fury
I passed on the FoC versions because I bought these, truth be told. The FoC ones just didn't do it for me. If I'd had both, I'd glady have thrown in some comparison shots.
Atomatron
the Clones Shawk and Pawe i think are the official names.
unpainted essentially the decepticon clone updates (two on the right)

the alt modes remained topspin/twintwist so I was disappointed at first thinking they were remolds, but those will just stay as bots as classics stand ins for now

CZ Hazard
These are some of my favourite third party figures. Such fun to mess about with and pose, and instinctive transformations too.
Steel
I know of the original set and the convention repaint set..what is the 3rd?
These guys are right there for my favorite purchase of 2013 along with Hexatron & MP Soundwave.
PredaconElder
Really they should have a few comparison pics with them and the FOC repaints just to demonstrate how superior they are to the "official" updated versions by Hasbro.
kalron
I just have to say these are 2 of the finest 1st or 3rd party figures I have ever purchased, hands down.
I can't wait to see what these guys put out next!
Kingfish333
And the G2 set is awesome as well.
Pharoid
So everyone who has these loves them and they are great renditions of the original characters and the IDW comics and they are reasonably priced…. I am surprised they are still in stock. Maybe I will buy another set.
SPLIT LIP
These guys are cool.
If only their Animated stuff panned out.
KnightStrike
Great pics! I love these guys and hope Mech Ideas puts out more bots at the same price point. These guys feel like a real value considering most 3rd party prices, especially since you get both guns and hammers with them. They also have great articulation, as these pics show.

Weird. I cannot understand people who think these are crap. To each his own, I suppose.

Atomatron
have all 3 sets, wishing for more
Atomatron
then you are wrong
rosewater
These are my favorite third party transformers, and they're among my favorite Classics figures, period. But I guess haters gonna hate…
jcru
I love these. This is inspiring me to go out and get another set.
Tresob
Is it just me, or do the shoulders seem to sit a little low in relation to the head on these guys?
