2005 forum member Joeluna33 just walked out of a ToysRUs in San Diego, CA with a newly purchased Hasbro Masterpiece Soundwave!
Rumor had it that these figures were not to show up at brick and mortar stores for a few more weeks, but apparently they’re starting to show up on shelves anyways!
Call or head on over to your nearest TRU to try to nab one for yourself, and be sure to stop by our sightings forums to let all the other locals in your area know if you find one!

What was supposed to do start a new thread to say an opinion on the figure the thread is about? And ask a question? He's asking about the TRU version, not the Takara one.
And why not a Hasbro reissue? It wouldn't be TRU, but a Hasbro Asia release… MP-10? Yes? There is precedence.

Takara might release it again some time. Maybe.
But that would cost more, since only one tape included, and they never re-released the other tapes.

OK, so I had this guy in my hands and passed because I wasn't 100% sure I wanted to get into collecting Masterpieces. Now I regret my decision. I'd like to know, what are the odds that we ever see a TRU rerelease?

No joke, and if you want all 4 it's 120-140 which is crazy for something that small.

I believe the only differences with the tapes is that FRUMBLE twins have paint instead of chrome, and Buzzsaw is more toy accurate yellow. I think the rest of everything is basically the same, if I'm not mistaken.

Yes, except the usual Takara vs. Hasbro differences (TRU Soundwave is Hasbro, the cassette you linked to is Takara, with different paint apps for Rumble. Ravage is the same.)

I got my Soundwave out of Toys R us layaway today (THANK YOU TOYS_R_US FOR HAVING LAYAWAY). And he is wonderful A plus. I do have a question about the cassettes. Are the cassettes that come with the TOY-R-US sound wave the same cassettes you buy in the two pack?

Thanks to the peeps at Cybertron.ca, who are active in my region (Toronto / Canada) with the sightings, I was able to get MP Soundwave at a TRU store last week (with damaged box, hence less people grabbing it, but I am throwing the box in the garbage!!!), and to my great surpise, I love it. Just ordered the reprolabels sticker sheet for it too. It definitely goes well with Quakewave, and the minions are really great, especially Rumble and Frenzy (my favorites)!!!
