Today is the last day of International Licensing Expo 2013 and already Hasbro has scored some big deals with other companies worldwide.
The biggest name associated with Hasbro is undoubtedly: Transformers. Yesterday, we announced Hasbro’s plan to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Transformers with publishing. With books being Food for your mind, why not have some food for your tummy?
Today at the Expo, Hasbro came to an agreement with Brand Licensing Team (BLT) for food and beverage extensions for various Hasbro properties in the U.S. and Canada, including Transformers.“For Hasbro, the alignment with Brand Licensing Team made sense because of their long-term strategic approach and experience in the food and beverage industry,” says Simon Waters, senior vice president, global brand licensing and publishing, Hasbro. “We were impressed with their go-to-market plans and ideas to infuse our beloved Hasbro brands into the lives of consumers in a new way.”
Brazilian apparel retailer LEADER has also extended its relationship with Hasbro to expand the Transformers, My Little Pony and Littlest Pet Shop lines into categories such as footwear and accessories this holiday season.
