The only "fix" I have found for it is if I push (Squeeze) the shoulder section to the section it's attached to more. It's not a screw so I can't tighten it. If I could it would be fixed. When I press the part to the roof assembly more it fixes it only temporary. I would need a way to push that rivet so it joins to the back/roof section tighter. Again since it isn't simply a matter of screwing a screw tighter I have no idea how to make that section be tighter.

My Red Alert has the same shoulder issue. No idea how to fix it.

About the only issues I would consider moderate is that the paint on one silver kneecap is off on one knee. It runs off into the red on the edges. The other is that the assembly the shoulder is riveted into on his right is loose. It doesn't stay locked. So if you try to move his shoulder up for example the whole piece will move with it. This also seems to affect alt mode with that side pegging in flush, leaving a gap. But since I haven't transformed him back yet I don't know if that would be fixed. I know my Sideswipe had the same issue with the same shoulder. Being loose.

I've got a friend with the same issue on the shoulder. have you discovered a fix for it yet?

Why wasn't Laser Prime used in the comics?

The entire comic run predated the Laser Prime figure. He was briefly reformatted into G2 Hero Prime at the very, very end of the comic.

I really think Optimus, Ramjet and Megatron are the only other standouts. Optimus got a bitchin' weapons platform mounted to his all-black trailer. Ramjet went black, purple and turquoise, and Megatron was (obvs) a giant green tank!

In the comics they all had over-the-top guns.

Ramjet (in G1 colors, here) had crazy (wire-fed?) arm-mounted twinguns:

Got mine last week, very nice black paint scheme, overall. I also like the set of weapons,
However, I am a bit gruntled as the chest in robot mode does not lock tide, both Sideswipe G1 and Red Alert were much better in this regard.

I found this at first too. What I found was that the hinge that collapses the upper body from car mode was a bit stiff on the final click – a little push was needed to get it all the way in, and then the chest locked in as well as my G1 MP Sideswipe.

Meh, the only G2 characters I ever wanted updated homage molds of were Optimus, Megatron, Jhiaxus and Sideswipe

Of the Masterpiece figures I've gotten it's probably been more often then not double taped.

Sometimes they're not, sometimes they are. It's just the way things are.

All it means is that they inspected your item to make sure there were no issues and retaped it at the factory.

I wouldn't say it happens a lot or more often, I have every Takara MP made and I only have one that is double taped and that's Streak
