More photos are arriving from the set of Transformers 4 Principal Photography. These photos are also courtesy of Instagramer rezzieboi.
First pic is a side look at Movie Optimus Prime 2.0 (Had to do a Miko there).
Second image is a never before seen look of a new (well actually, a rusty old) truck vaguely resembling the old G1 Optimus Prime from the cartoon. The photo uploader is mentioning that the rusty truck is a Dinobot: “One of the new #transformers from yesterday movie shoot #dinobots, who are u!!! Damn sexy a.f that’s what’d up #michaelbay #markymark”. We currently have no confirmation on who this might turn out to be. Have a guess.
Number 3… Bumblebee (well, that sure rhymed). It seems we have to take the word of the photographer who seems to have seen the vehicle which is now covered.
Take a look at the images, after the jump.
Special thanks to TFW2005 Boards Member Waveride for pointing these out for me. He’s back in business!

anyone think that maybe that small cab over tractor might be Huffer remember he was a small cab over diesel tractor, big rig that still kicked ass and even could and did tow Op Primes trailer in a few episodes in G1 just some food for thought!

I know the Dinobots were trucks and tanks and such before, but I've never been a fan of those. I'm usually not one to get hung up on "geewun", but the most interesting bit of the Dinobots is the fact that they turn into robot dinosaurs. Take that away and what the point of having them? (and no, calling them "Dynobots" does not make it OK to me, in fact it's kinda like rubbing salt in the wound)
I'm totally fine with RiD Grimlock not being a T. rex 'cause he's not a Dinobot, just some Autobot that happens to share the name. No sense in making a bot part of a team if they're not going to follow that team's theme.

I can handly many Dinosaur movies, but I run away from Jurassic Park movies.

So will this be a dinomovie?
Sorry had to do it!
I would rather see Grimlock and his crew as trucks rather than not at all. And its the live action movieverse = no rules apply.
Starscreamer95
The 'Dinobot' truck could just be it's vehicle form, and the robot mode is it's dinosaur form?
Barricade24
I'm positive that is Optimus. Peter Cullen did say he would come back and voice Optimus and I very much doubt that Bay would make Rodimus look so much like Optimus. The chrome pipes are just a new look for Prime. It doesn't mean that it is Rodimus. That's not say that Rodimus won't be in the movie, but that truck is without a doubt Optimus.

"terrible lizard" as in "walking terrorizing bahamut"… terrible like many words have a differ meaning back then…
dinobot that cant turn into a dinosaur arent really dinobot… its just another autobot that turn into truck..

I really doubt there will be much mentioning of previous movies… ESPECIALLY the ROTF, which Bay was overall not happy with because of the strike.
My guess is the dinobot(s) will be a case of "convergent evolution"… Much like bats and birds both fly, they are not related… Dinobots will just be "dinosaur like" aliens, like Ravage is cat-like, Laserbeak is bird-like, and Scorpinok and Insecticon are bug-like… None of them scanned earth animals, they just have a similar body type. Quick, simple, and fits the modus operandi of Bay.
HAIL_KING_PRIME
"I'm callin it, that flamed truck is Rodimus after Optimus gives him the matrix or his spark or whatever (look at the chrome pipes)and that old cab-over is optimus after he hands over leadership to Rodimus!
loving the G1 style location and Dig BB as a 68 Camaro BUT cant dig those stupid flares!
Op and the original crew is hiding out taking old forms to not attract to much attention until the new lot arrives! of course all that would mean Bay would have had to listen to a certain degree BUT that remains to be seen

Well they did establish that other Transformers have been on earth a very long time, and Jetfire wasn't the only one shown on the map in Revenge of the Fallen. So if some have been bouncing around since then, or someone unearths an ancient Cybertronian craft buried for millions of years and has been reverse engineering the technology. Enter evil business man Kelsy Grammer.
Perhaps having the Dinobots as an advance team that went missing giving the reason they adopted altmodes of dinos. Even though each of those dinos are from different periods in time. So it would have to been after dinosaurs died out. I'm sure they'll shoehorn something in.

Also, the rumor said that the Autobots will be riding Dinosaurs. If's it were Optimus riding on Grimlock's back in robot mode, it would be a very weird Autobot Piggy Back Ride.
Deadsled
That's the only way I can see
allowing them in.

Why am I thinking that the Bugatti Veyron might be Blurr?

Even if the Dinobots are not in the movie I have some toys that will act as the Dinobots with all my other movie figures.

TF4 is talking a leaf out of TF: Prime's book and doing a relic hunt. This time all the TF must search out the original old version of themselves.
It's like they're playing 'Where's Geewun?'.
*Optimus spots the old truck*
Optimus: "There it is!"
*smashes right through it*
Optimus: "Gotta crash 'em all!"
Hot Shot.
This got a grin out of me.

Why not? Dinosaur means "terrible lizard" in greek so a dinobot means "terrible robot" esentially.
I don't see the problem here other then it's not G1 enough.
Hell they don't even need to use the name Dinobots in the movie at all. None of the individual names evoke Dinosaurs either so again I don't see a problem with Grimlock being a tank.
Lazerwave
Then it wouldn't be called Dinobots, would it?
I'm still sticking with vehicles transforming into dinosaurs, if there are Dinobots in the movie.
