2005 Boards member Cobra Zartan has shared with us more images of the test shot of Generations Trailcutter. These new images show both modes of Trailcutter, and of interest to many of you will be the size comparison images, showing how Trailcutter scales up against Prime mainline Bumblebee and Generations Fall of Cybertron Soundwave. Read on to check out the images.

Looks good to me, I was using the ROTF Stockade with Trailbreaker reprolabels as a stand-in as well as ROTF Hoist and I'm glad I can retire both figures soon!
Yobuster
Well trail breaker looks good to me. He looks pretty good as a robot. His alt mode does seem a bit smaller but against tf prime bumblebee isn't a exact comparison need to compare against another generations car
One thing that amazes me though is he sure has a lot of prototype toys lying around. Awesome, guess he's got a friend in the factory

I'm glad I'm no longer the only one pointing out how insane this babble about Deluxe figures being tiny now truly is.
Cyclonus79
I want this as my sig!

I think the main problem is not the size in robot-mode, which is fine, but the size in truck-mode relatively to other deluxe cars (but Hastak was never good scaling trucks and cars anyway… =/ ). This and let's hope they will not use very thin or, worse, rubbery plastic… That hollow waist part, looking from the back, is not beautiful (yes, I do look the back of figures…) The problem with hollow parts like that is not just about aesthetics: if that visible waist joint has any imperfection, it will rotate out of place, which will be annoying…

We need this pinned to the top of every page in this thread. Also, thanks for the laugh
Sure, I'd like a voyager sized version but I'll take what I can get especially if it is as rad as this.
Gilgamesh
I like how after several people confirming that he is rather average classic deluxe-sized, people keep going "OMFG is he small or what am i right bro haha I cant read worth fuck"
CelticMutt
Ah, okay. But I still don't get where the cartoon got brought in from. If someone's discussing comics and comic designs and toys that are based on the comic designs, it should be reasonable to assume that said person (me) is not questioning why the toy doesn't resemble a badly drawn design from 30 years ago that was used once.
Valkysas
No, as PredaconElder said, the design that Orion Pax's new toy is based on showed up first in Spotlight Blurr, way back in 2008. Spotlight Blurr takes place after Spotlight Orion Pax, before he had a chance to change back.
TFWiki mentions it on the page for Spotlight Orion Pax, in the notes section.
CelticMutt
Uh … no. The toy is built to resemble the toy. Nothing else. Then Hasbro told IDW to make the spotlights and have them match the toy. So the Orion Pax spotlight very specifically in the issue itself explicitly states that Orion had an entirely new body built just for this one issue. And for the record, in every single previous Orion Pax appearance he looked just like Optimus, several times with heavy War Within Optimus influences. IDW Orion Pax has never looked like cartoon Orion Pax.
Mr.Deflok
I'm delighted that the shield/gunpack thing can go on his back. Gonna look great with his generator on top of his head with the pack on his back.
Can't wait for this figure!
optimusfan
Ah, mystery solved!
SPLIT LIP
I really like this toy's look, especially how chunky he is. He's like and old classics toy with modern sculpting.
cobra zartan
Yep I missed that, testshot must have the fake wheels on the wrong side!
Actually heres a person in china with the final version and it shows that my testshot should have the fake wheels swapped.

You probably missed it earlier, but the shoulders peg onto the side mirrors according to all the official photos.
mstyger87
he is looking resonably good, i think i may end up modding him so his head shield generator can fold away, i would like to see a pic of that bumblebee mold they use comapered to chug hound or even ironhide in vehicle mode or even robot mode, i dont mind the size that much as alot of people have already said he will be about the right size in bot mode. any more pics would be great
cobra zartan
Arms are connected to a fake part of the tire that has a pin through it for the shoulders, or did I not understand what you wanted me to do?
Mr.Deflok
He's small but who gives a fuck.
It's Trailbreaker and he looks awesome. I've needed that for the longest time.
Jetbolt
Yeah, deluxe Transformers of the past were most certainly taller:
Now though, I'm still getting Trailbreaker as I have zero versions of the character.
