Introduced late in season 2 of Transformers Prime, the hot shot cavalier Autobot Smokescreen is the sixth and newest member of Team Prime. While very much the rookie, he is also a member of the Autobot Elite Guard. He came late enough in the series that, like Shockwave, he did not receive a toy in the initial Transformers Prime line, instead getting his very own deluxe class toy in the second wave of Beast Hunters deluxes, and it is that toy we are sharing a gallery of with you tonight.
The Beast Hunters Smokescreen toy is a love or hate affair. While his design is pretty clever and features a few different tricks to your normal car robot, he ends up with big bits of his car hood on his arms. He also has a deco which is inaccurate to the show. There’s not a lack of paint applications, but some details are painted which are not on his show model, while others are missing. But I would invite you to look past these features to a toy which is very poseable and fun to play about with. Smokescreen is a decent little Deluxe toy, and the additional clip on armor is a nice bonus.
All in all, definitely one that is worth checking out – so open the link below to view our gallery brought to you by photo staff member thedrknss48 to see what you think of this toy.

This SMOKESCREEN Figure Is Fantastic. Before I Ever Heard About This Figure Coming Out In The Beast Hunters Line, I Was Going To Buy The Takara Version, Just So I Would Have A SMOKESCREEN Figure. It Looked Like An Okay Figure. But I Didn't Like The Fact That It Was A Repaint, And Partial Remold Of The RID KNOCK OUT Figure. But When I Saw The First Images Of The Hasbro SMOKESCREEN, I Dropped The Idea Of Purchasing The Takara Version. And I'm So Glad I Did. I Like The Hasbro Transformers Prime Beast Hunters SMOKESCREEN So Much, I Got TWO Of Them. They Are Awesome!
Chaos Muffin
He's flat n fun. Somewhat larger than the other Prime deluxes. So if you line them all up on the shelf, then yeah he looks like the chosen one. Dick.
If you could just, compress him a little to make him equal sized and a little thicker / sturdier.

I have Smokey and while it's not show accurate, I'm still glad he's in my BH collection.
BTW Great shots, another great gallery guys!!

Hope the new one works out better for you.

His net and rubber hood thing went immediately into the trash with no regrets. Well, I chewed on it for a while, but same idea. He's awesome, even if he has an Animated chin.
Bnz Toy
Picked this up yesterday. Regrettably, he was a bit of a let down compared to the engineering, fit and finish of the FE editions. He cost me 17$ from Amazon, so I'm still happy to have him.
Figure really needs some paint or reprolabels tho. So far I put a red sharpie to his head but a think a bit more detail could really get this one to pop.
From fresh out of the package, his left shoulder ball joint was loose, so I needed to address that before he would pose correctly.
Overall, he looks good with the FEs – but he could have looked great. Oh yeah, I really wish his shoulder guards were round, like in the show.

This toy is lots of fun. I love having a separate toy for Smokescreen. Any deco problems I had were quickly fixed with some red paint applied to the sides of his head crest.

Glad to hear yours didn't have a big gap! Time to go buy a new one then cuz his poor arm is messed up!
quantumhawk
Couple of things to note. His net from his missile stores on a hexagonal peg on his back while in robot mode, and you don't have his armor attached properly in robot mode. Push the two flaps behind his shoulders and then hook the holes in the armor over the two spurs to either side of his collar.

I actually bought two of these, one for bot mode and one for the car mode. I'm very happy with them and consider them well done. I may try and paint my bot mode one to be a bit more show accurate though.
Nah, it's not just you. The one I transformed into car mode gave me a little problem with the arms as well. Wasn't really anything for me to get too concerned about as they ended up going to into place satisfactorily and didn't end up with any gap.
EnergonWaffles
This is one of the few toys I've ever bought. Normally have a rule against collecting as to not drive myself crazy, but just had to get this one.
Repainting it to be more show accurate though…
Did anybody else have trouble with the arms? One arm won't fold in completely when transforming it into vehicle mode, which leaves a gap between the window and the roof on one side. It's like the ball joint is warped on one side. Not a huge deal but still…wondering if it's just mine
Iro the Dude
We do need a character named "Smoke-Out" now, though.
kaotika
Much better than Smoke-Out, even with the deco problems.

He's an amazing figure, totally beats out KO redeco!

The car mode just look fantastic
diablogunner
Great figure, I have him and he is one of my favorites, arms are a little tricky, but the rest is great.
Scrap
Personally, I can't complain about his figure–it's got a good solid feel to it, and albeit a very tricky balancing of his arms when putting him into vehicle mode he's got great poseability, good bright colors, slick transformation and a very young, hip look to him.
jgoss
very nice how much is smokescreen?
Hotshotprime43
Its a pretty cool toy. Both solid in robot and car mode. My only problem is his transformation because putting his arms into place is annoying

Gotta and gonna buy
