ACTOYS.net member sweet13524 has uploaded in-hand photos of the upcoming MP-16 Frenzy & Buzzsaw set.
As is evident from the photos, MP-16 comes in the standard black Takara Tomy Masterpiece box. Although we’ve seen the various accessories that are included with this set, including pile drivers and weapons for Frenzy, photos of the instructions reveal some details about the interaction between these cassette figures and the also soon-to-be-released MP-13 Masterpiece Soundwave. Notably, Masterpiece Soundwave appears to have storage compartments for Frenzy’s weapons, and he can mount the pile drivers on his arm as a double-barreled cannon.

Thinking about it, this probably is a test run or unfinished model. On the box the pile driver end has both parts blue. On this, the top part is black (which I thought was odd). Gives me slightly more hope.

the two minions look pretty decent, laserbeak is kinda weak from the underside. dont care for how they did the piledrivers at all.

Nope, not just you. Someone pointed them out earlier and they do appear to be stress marks.

I can't really tell, but I think there are stress marks on the elbow joints..
It could be the lighting but I see it on both left and right

Holy shit frenzy's robot mode is awesome. Specially with those ground-pounding things.

Probably they are discarded toys due to QC issues from the factory. that's why their paint is defective, and showing too soon.

Robotkingdom has a lot of beautiful pictures of both sets of masterpiece tapes.. and disappointingly Ravage/Rumble appear to lack any bicep swivel… like mp-5, another masterpiece that can't even reach in front of their chest.

Yeah, I'm still debating on whether or not to get Soundwave, and whether to get the Takara one or wait for the Hasbro one. Bought I have both tape packs pre-ordered because I like them more. I just wish there was a Ratbat. And that The theory of Soundblaster/Ratbat doesn't prevent me from getting one without Soundblaster …
As to size, I recall a picture (don't remember where) that showed off one of Rumble/Frenzy next to Soundwave – he came up to about Soundwave's knee. I think Soundwave is either the same height as MP-10, or just a bit shorter, so around the same height as Prime's knee. Which looks to be about Cyberverse Commander size – or roughly half a head to a head shorter than the average Scout.

meh, it looks like the chin to me. Doesn't bother me like those damn short shorts on the Hasbro MP Rodimus Prime.

This. But the designer does seem to like them. At least Soundwave can't continue the theme. Although if they ever get around to MP Cyclonus or MP Scourge he will be in his element.

I really like Rumble there. Buzzsaw well meh aside from taking on Omega Supreme he's never did anything.
