E-Hobby has tweeted a picture of their shared exclusive release with the Transformers Collectors Club in packaging. The VSE set, redecos of Generation 1 Soundwave and Blaster as their Shattered Glass counterparts, comes in a gorgeously done display box showcasing both characters in their robot modes, with their cassette minions and the Solarbot in tape mode between them. The box is a full on retro style, with the classic Generation 1 gridlines and gradiants.
Check out E-Hobby’s tweets for the front of the box and the back of the box battlescene art.

Definitely like the VS Grid box packaging

How about blue Bluestreak as SG Bluestreak? Seeing as how he NEVER was released in those colors at any point for G1, it'd be a nice way to kill two birds with one stone. And they could have the pack-in comic establish him as the 'Thundercracker' of Prime's newest batch of seekers:
Bluestreak -> Thundercracker
Prowl -> Skywarp
Smokescreen -> Starscream

I thought I was a cassette completist until I saw these. No thank you.
They just need to make some new cassette molds that aren't based on any previous characters. That I would buy. I just don't need 5 different colors of the same plastic shape.
OwlLasers
Oooh yeah. I'd put my Glit in that!

A regular Soundwave vs Blaster set would kick ass. It would look so good.

Man that box is awesome, but very large! It looks almost like Omega Supreme size.
All this.

Luving the design throwback to the 'ol VS giftsets! Too bad these repaints look like utter shit…

Damn, that looks sexy. Shame I can't get it yet..

Sir Soundwave vs the Maestro. The box looks real nice.
Superquad7
That he did!

Actually, the Cybertron/Destron names "continued" w/ Kiss players in 2007.
I'm hoping those proper names return after Prime.
GaussGunner
Let the Magnus not been in the animated series, but he was in the TF Movie Promo!
Star Saber
Exactly SG Magnus is inspired by the color scheme from the Diaclone figure, so doing a G1 style SG figure, it would make perfect sense to just use the Diaclone color scheme. and since the box art is just the G1 box and character art redone in different colors, they could easily do SG/Diaclone Magnus two in one, with the SG battle scene art the only thing really marking it as a SG figure.

Yep. My idea is to release the six Mini-Bots from 1984 in their Brazillian color schemes as Shattered Glass characters.
STA: Transformers: Brazilian Transformers
The only difference would be that they have a Shattered Glass insignia. Cliffjumper would have to be the blue repaint, it doesn't matter which of the color schemes the other characters are. I don't think SG Bumblebee made a visual appearance in the comics, only Goldbug.
Hoist and Trailbreaker would be released in their Diaclone color schemes for their Shattered Glass toys.

Trailbreaker in yellow – Image iacloneTrailbreaker.jpg – Transformers Wiki
The blue repaint would be a new character (possibly not SG) with a new head with both Hoist and Trailbreaker's parts. There would be Hoist stickers and Trailbreaker stickers as shown in the pics so you can choose which to use. The only thing different to the Diaclone release would be the new head and tampographed insignia.
I'd also like a six pack of Shattered Glass cassettes. Rumble, Frenzy, Laserbeak, Buzzsaw, 'civilian brown' Ratbat and Overkill. I'd like to include SG Ravage instead of Overkill but he was repurposed from Glit.
Thundershot
They started on that road in 2007 when the first movie came out.
No he means that the colors of SG Magnus ARE the Diaclone colors.
Grandum
you mean in the same package? If so then I don't think so – To people who don't collect both diaclone and SG (I suspect that that applies to the majority of them) they'd just have a harder time justifying why they should pay more for something extra that they don't collect.
Would make much more sense to sell it as two different products (so that they could recoup the loss of releasing a SG toy)
Primus00
I can't believe Takara is abandoning the Cybertron/Destron names.

Anyone want to split a set? Offering $125 for the tapes with their accessories.
Star Saber
Not sure what you mean exactly, but SG Ultra Magnus' color scheme was inspired by the original Diaclone Power Convoy colors, which Takara as released as an Ultra Magnus variant years ago, and remains a very much sought after figure. Doing a two for one as an SG figure and a Diaclone homage would be pretty profitable for them since they'd be hitting two target markets instead of just one.

Glad I ordered it, cant wait to get it
