Third party group Fansproject has updated their website with a teaser image for their upcoming line of Headmaster-inspired figures. If you recall this year’s TFcon 2012 Third Party Panel, these silhouettes will be familiar to you, and based on what we’ve been shown, the first release will be an homage to Chromedome.
Staff Note: Please be aware that these are figures not produced or endorsed by Hasbro or Takara Tomy.

Are you implying that people on here need to see more than shadowy figures before forming firm opinions on something and argueing about it?
Megatron31
they unveiled some lineart/ cad drawings for them at one of the con's
but it was pretty lowend work with incorrect coloring from what i remember
im nore interested in seeing some prototypes of this guy, kinda shocked we havent honestly

I feel like I've missed something. Did we get more pictures, or better pictures of these figures? everyone is talking about the detailing of the figures not being up to snuff with the rest of Fansprojects stuff. But All I can remember seeing are shadow figures.
anyway, bbts tft figure bought. If that is good (size/design wise), I'll pick up the rest of them (minus crocodile prime).
Bucket Head
hrm….thats a damned good idea!!!

That mold is a freakishly large deluxe, it towers over the vast majority of other deluxes.
I am perfectly fine with Chromedome, who is a car, being the same size as other Autobot cars. As for the Headmaster figure itself, perhaps they'll do a trick of some sort, like having the Headmaster's legs slide inside the main robot's chest, with the potential waist swivel joint acting as the neck? That way, only the torso and arms would form the head itself, which allows for a bigger figure overall.
I hope Mindwipe and Skullcruncher are voyager-sized, and Brainstorm and Weirdwolf can be small voyager/large deluxe size (a la Warbot Defender). Minerva should be a deluxe of course.

considering how many japanese headmasters (that were released without bodies) there are, along with all the designs that weren't produced, I'd really love to see a couple packs of those heads released.
They have released an city commander missile and gun upgrade set and a targetmaster set for protector so they aren't averse to doing so. If they release a couple sets of heads with an extra weapon or two per set I'd definitely buy them.

Well, we don't truly know the exact size and proportions now, do we?

I absolutely agree! Don't kill me
but I feel like this design is rather ridiculous. These are HEADMASTERS not Micromasters
! Why are they so damn small!
I won't complain as much because there is another option for me in TOYWORLD! I think these designs are okay but hardly anything to get hyped about, yet most of you FP junkies have already given more undeserved praise
.

14cm…that's small. Very small
. The classics Sideswipe/Red Alert/Sunstreaker figure isn't even 14 cm (14.5cm). To make that into a Headmaster would mean the head would be about MP-10's Spike when transformed to nebulan.
If these are indeed only 14cm then I'm suddenly far less interested. Hopefully TW's Hardhead will be bigger and they'll also make the others.

ah, musta missed the designer news bit. But nifty to hear about the tweaks!

Out of all of these, I am least enthusiastic on Mindwipe. What's with the wing on the arms when he's in robot mode? Everything else is a buy.

I'm pretty sure the new designer was explicitly stated at TFCon where these were first revealed.
Also, if you check earlier in the thread, the new teaser silhouttes seem to have much better proportions and anatomy than the original renders (Chromedome, for example, has less cuboid limbs, a trim waistline, and a sharper, more agressive head sculpt), which I hope carries over to the final product.

I will admit, these all don't quite have the same awesome fansproject-y look as all their stuff before. Looks look kinda awkward and skinny but with massive heads. Different designer?
Chromedomes probly the least odd looking so I'll probly get him
sh002
I'd buy Chromedome, Hardhead, and Mindwipe.

so, this is chrome dome, but i really hope the height listed doesnt include the head because he is not that tall otherwise, think grind rod height. 5 and a half inches is right to the top of the chest on warbot defender.
