It's a funny thing, I have had the Energon Barricade in a box in teh basement for years and never thought about it. Then came across the 3rd party world of TF's (thanks to a friend). I just got Warcry and Flameblast last week from Toy Arena and now I need this new set to for him to look right. I have seen pics with both add-ons but now I am left thinking that I should order the Asian exclusive or search eBay for the other arm and leg for him. I dunno, with Menasor and Uranos just starting out I'm looking at over 1K for all 3 if you add shipping. I think I may just get this set and have a Brute with just the Energon core piece.

FACT: I highly doubt anyone could do a better version of Bruticus than what FP did with Colossus.

I finally bit the bullet and preordered both this and the United Bruti from TFSource. My Starscream needs his damned brigade in all its glory. Now, since I've done that, I'd almost be willing to bet money that a new company is going to announce a newer, better version of Bruticus as soon as I get mine in my grubby mitts. It's usually how it goes with me.

Well if you're talking about the energon figs it's because the FP add on kit ramps up their value, otherwise you could pick them up for pennies on ebay. If you're talking about the FP add on kit that's because seeing as how they're unofficial figures FP has to distribute the thousands of dollars it costs to break even on making the figs across the figures.

Oh, come on. The Energon figures are excellent.
They're just not very good analogues of the Combaticons (well, minus the headsculpt, the Barricade mold actually does share a lot in common with Onslaught). But they weren't designed to be.
