We’ve got something of a treat for you now, because it is not every day we get to share a gallery of the first character in an all-new faction with you! In this gallery update we have Transformers Prime Voyager Class Thundertron, leader (and so far only official member) of the new faction of Star Seekers, introduced in the Transformers Exodus novel.
Thundertron truly is a unique character. Design wise, he is chock full of molded details, a far cry from the typically “cleaner” design aesthetic of the Transformers Prime designs. He’s also the first true beast we’ve had in a good long while, and to top it all off, he’s an all-new character – not a homage or an obscure but existing character getting a toy for the first time. Also, he’s a space-pirate robot with a peg leg. Arrrrr.
The toy himself is an excellent design. The beast mode is convincing, with more of a techno-animal feel to it than a Beast Wars one, while the robot mode has some good poseability and excellent balance, even with the peg leg! Design wise though, while he fits in with the other Prime toys, Thundertron blurs the line enough to look good with toys from other lines as well – which is good, given that three out of the four other named Star Seekers can be repurposed from other toys, and the four look pretty decent together.
All in all, well recommended. Thundertron is a good and fun toy, worthy of a purchase once he hits retail along with his wavemate Ultra Magnus. Open the link below to check out the gallery to see more of Thundertron and decide for yourself!

The Peg leg sold it for me.

They're on balljoints. Should be fairly easy to pop them on and off. The hips do do a slide in / out thing for transformation though and the wings provide a good pot to grip when you do that.
I quite like them on the robot, truth be told – they are like the bottom half of a coat, billowing out from the waist. The halves of the mane could arguably be the top half.

Dat peg leg! Priceless man!

Absolutely love that bot pose with the chest…Arrrgggggggghhh, me matey's.
He looks best in beast mode, imho.
Great job with the pics SF, probably have to get this one.

How do his hip flaps attached? If removable joints, I'm seriously considering adding handles to make INTO a pair of blades for him!
BLOODRAGED189
Nope. At least I didn't… I trust my brother for the most part though.

It's possible seeing as how we already have a deluxe Rumble in this line.

Looks like a steeljaw repaint would be cool

There's a Leo Prime deco coming out in Japan later in the year. So not long at all, less than two months. I think he's a late December release with Shockwave.

I really love the way this guy looks. My only complaints are the fact that he has little articulation in beast mode, and his hat isn't painted. Other than that, he looks amazing!
Do you guys think they'll make any more Star Seeker figures? I hope they make a Sky-Byte! That'd be the best figure ever.

Looking at these pictures, it just hit me why all these Lion and Wolf beast modes always look wrong. They never have NECKS. I mean look at this alt mode. His wolf head barely peeks out of his shoulders. In terms of animal shapes, he's pretty deformed (and the other two lion-bots pictured don't loo much better). I wonder why they always forget that dogs and cats actually have necks?
Other than that, he's kind of cool.

The figure is definitely tempting, but I have absolutely no interest in the character. If he's ever repainted as a Decepticon/Predacon, I might get that. I'd absolutely love to see them repaint it as Bruticus. The alt-mode does look more like a wolf than a lion.

So, how long until this Mold gets redco'ed into Leobreaker and the like?
Sol Fury
You deleted it?
Autobot Burnout
He's in desperate need of some blacklining to bring out the details, but damn if he doesn't look fine. Love the Mechtech sword, certainly one of the best in the Prime line so far.

As I'm a fan of beast mode transformers, Thundertron is a must have for me.

Oh I so want this haha. I've got to start looking around for a treasure chest now, because that "Morgan" pose is absolutely gettin' jacked for my display
