Actually, i watched Peaugh's Dreadwing review and he kind of shed some light on the alt-mode.
If you take the picture of the alt mode and rotate it so that the large spikes are facing upward, you can see a face sculpted in to one of the panels. To paraphrase Peaugh, his alt-mode the Unicron face that came out of the mountainside.

The Expendicons were pure gold up to the point you mention Movie Laserbeak. I would not have objected to Soundwave being on the team or even being the leader of the team…except that he is considered a canonical Decepticon leader in the Furman comics.

Expendicons, I love it! But I really wish you'd chosen Armada Cyclonus for the psychopath wise cracker who is actually their leader, rather then Dark of the Moon Laserbeak.
