E-HOBBY has updated their website’s storefront with a listing for MP-12 Lambor (Sideswipe), and naturally with a new official listing, comes new official photos, these being the first color shots of the toy itself. These photos show off the toy’s various weaponry, the officially licensed Lamborghini Countach vehicle mode, and his size compared MP-10 Convoy (Who is sadly lacking a jetpack gimmick as far as I can tell) as well as his compatibility with his trailer.
MP-12 Lambor (Sideswipe) is currently available for preorder via site sponsors HobbyLink Japan, TFSource, BigBadToyStore, Robot Kingdom, and ToyArena.
Keep an eye on TFW2005’s front page over the next week for more Masterpiece News, as we cover the Masterpiece announcements coming from the Tokyo Toy Fair. Will we finally see the newly announced Masterpiece Soundwave? Stay tuned and find out.

I think more or less that is the news that a lot of us have been discussing, can anyone double confirm again?

Yeah, I wouldn't rule out getting some Season Two Autobots. Not to call MP Red Alert a target of opportunity; the potential for re-use probably sweetened MP-12 becoming Sideswipe in the first place. Anyway, if the Alternators/Binaltech figures are anything to go by, Takara could get licensing co-operation to produce a Masterpiece Tracks relatively easily. His main play features would be a no-brainer after all.

They've done this yearly. Personally, I feel your time will be better spent on the site if you're looking for TF News from the Convention. I mean, G4 will touch on it, but that's about it…
As for what Hasbro will bring to ComicCon is anyone's guess.

I am probably movng into the area of "wishful thinking" but I think they will get Skids, Inferno and Grapple out as well. I think next year is gonna be a major point for MP collectors (not that this year or following ones aren't gonna be great). We still have Soundwaves cassettes, and the regular releases. I do wonder if the cassettes will get their own number designation or will they be MP-X or something like that?

I have to agree with this. While we may not get all the 'second tier' characters like Skids, Inferno, Grapple, Tracks, etc., I'm confident that there were/are design mock-ups for nearly the entire '84 cast to justify Takara now delving into these smaller car characters as Masterpieces. There's just no logical way that Sideswipe (and his obvious Red Alert repaint with bonus remold) is the only one that got focused on. In fact, the additional details they put into Red Alert – who really could have been just a straight-up repaint that made people perfectly happy – tells me that there's a whole design team dedicated to these car characters. I think it's all but a guarantee that, yes, all the usual suspects ala Jazz, Wheeljack, Prowl, Sunstreaker, etc. are indeed in the pipeline.

Will SDCC give us any extra info on these? Only thing I expect it to give us in way of Masterpiece news is price & release date for Hasbro MP10, & pics & release date for Hasbro MP Thundercracker.
OMEGAPRIME1983
Sweet, I get that channel, .

well I just saw on tv SDCC will be transmitted in channel G4 July 12@ 7pm

Personally I think that we will get them sooner rather than later. I just don't think Takara would take up a project this ambitious and then not fulfill the list of characters that started the series itself. Worse comes to worst they will do a few alterations on logos.
OMEGAPRIME1983
Ah, fabulous.
Deadend
Soundwave looks promising. I think I mostly just want the MP laserbeak though.

On the subject of sponsors logos, do we really think that Transformers will be 'advertising' Tobacco and alcohol? Can't see it happening myself.
Hybrid Style
Has that been 100% confirmed as the only extra?
Stepper
amazon.jp Soundwave comes with additional energon cube.
SmokescreenSWE
Personally, I'd love to see a Smokescreen with all the sponsor decals (like my custom…), but I guess it could be hard to track down. Also, I don't know how companies generally feel about using old logos.
With that said, would there be a problem using specific car designs that were once designed by a racing team? I seem to remember there being a problem making exact reissues of Mirage for that reason.
OptimusTimelord
I forgot to mention that even the original G1 Jazz altered the sponsor logo to 'Martinii' (three 'i's). That kind of thing (along with Alitalia vs Alitalla for Wheeljack) would probably not be enough these days, but Encore Jazz had a nice alternative with the Martini logo featuring 'Meister' instead of 'Martinii'
True, we're already discussing the finer deco details when there's no guarantee we'll even get the cars!!
Hybrid Style
Yeah that is how I am looking at it. But I didn't really need the jackhammers for Sideswipe but when I am paying the same from RK as I am from BBTS it just seemed better to go with the RK amazon.jp exclusive.
I will wait and see for a proper announcement of what exactly is coming with the amazon.jp Soundwave before I completely rule out it's purchase.
Stepper
Paying extra just for additonal energon cube is out of question for me,will just get the normal release of Soundwave.
adambman
Yes, I am agreeing with you!
