Looking forward to the upcoming release of Transformers: Fall of Cybertron? Still need to preorder the game, but don’t know where you should do so? Well thanks to reveals from both Amazon.com and Gamestop, we now know of two preorder bonuses for the upcoming title.
By preordering your game at Amazon.com, you are given a skin for the big, bad, battlin’ Generation 2 Bruticus to use in Single Player mode. By preordering the game from Gamestop, you are given a skin for Generation 1 Optimus Prime for both Single Player and Multiplayer usage, as well as two weapons for Single Player based on G1 Megatron and (loosely) G1 Shockwave.
Transformers: Fall of Cybertron will be available on August 28th, 2012 for both the Playstation 3 and the Xbox 360. Want to discuss the future title, as well as the other various Transformers video games with your fellow fans? Want to find some teammates for a few rounds of Escalation? If so, hit up the Transformers Video Game Discussion subforum.
UPDATE: GameInformer has posted a news story with two new gameplay screenshots of the Optimus Prime preorder bonus. To check the images out, take the jump.

Well, so much for me hoping to get that G2 Bruticus. Amazon.ca doesn't have FoC listed anywhere on their site. ಠ_ಠ Dammit Canada.

Thank you.
I do mean what I said, but I'm mainly giving you a hard time for being such a doubter. As a TF fan I'm sure you hope you get to make that apology thread as that would mean that we get an FOC CE, YEAH! Sorry got a little excited, just watched the Optimus Prime level with Metroplex, AWESOME!!!
Dirge121
I promise if they make a collectors edition I will start an apology thread if that makes you feel better.
Smashs
He's saying if you already own WFC, you should get a bonus for buying FoC.
Rexidus
It's called Fall of Cybertron.
Transformed
That would be nice. I'd especially think it'd be pretty sweet if they had a little something something for those who got 100% in WFC
Ported stats, bonus XP, special weapons or bonus skins would be fantastic. What's great about including bonuses like this is that HMS and gamers can both benefit: gamers get awesome rewards and HMS may move a few more copies of WFC in the process with late adopters especially if they offer these goodies to those who have 100% the previous game.
Cosablanca
They should give some bonus to the owners of War For Cybertron as a "Thank You". Do you agree?
Agentknife
Two things.
1 Your still ignoring the fact that most expensive collector's editions are of a limited run, ie the Gears of War 3 Epic Edition, and all collector's editions aren't $150. Most are $70 or $80 and come with art books and some trinkets.
2 If there does turn out to be an FOC collector's edition of any kind at release, I want you to agree to start an apology thread for being so damn negative and not admitting that an FOC CE would be financially viable and should be made.
And before you ask, no I will not start an apology thread if an FOC collector's edition isn't made because I never said that there will be one, only that there should be one.
CETERUS PRIME
I just preordered with EBGames.ca and got the G1 retro pack and free shipping. Not sure if that answers your question.
Dirge121
I will admit that there are a small group of hardcore fans who would readily spring for an expensive collectors edition. But that is a small segment of a small group. It doesnt change the fact that average joe gamer has no interest in dropping $150 on a game just to get an action figure, an artbook and some other tat unless its a game they are already very interested in. Transformers games just don't have that shelf presence.
I'm sorry, but no. Lord of the Rings is a much more beloved franchise than the one we fly the flag of. Tron also had a movie backing it so Tron was on peoples minds. Arkham Asylum and WFC arent even in the same league, also Batman has more shelf presence.

Why is Optimus' chest trying to eat his hips?
Agentknife
Dude! see my earlier post on the subject, but like I said originally. TF fans through down boat loads of cash all the time on collectable stuff. If Activision/High Moon/Hasbro do not make at least a collector's edition with an art book and a few other nik nacks with, then they don't know there fan base very well and should probably think about a new line of work. Also like I already stated I'm not saying that there will be a collector's edition but there should be.
Will you at least admit that and stop with the "too niche" & it won't work financially crap?
Agentknife
Hey! Prostitutes give great hugs…..I mean McDonald's has great salads.

Also, I was planning on adding this to a quote, but there are so many posts about preorder rants I'd rather not.
I remember I once got a backpack for Preordering Ben 10 Alien Force: Vilgax Attacks.
TheGame2K5
Yeah im sure all CE games had TONS of guaranteed sales. Ever heard of Two Worlds 2? A sequel to a mostly crappy game, it had a fancy CE. Lord of the Rings War in the North and Tron Evolution also got the CE treatment. Transformers has a much wider appeal than those games. Im not saying they will make one but plenty of games that are AAA get CEs. War for Cybertron people take notice, much like Arkham Asylum did for the Batman game franchise, that you can make a damn good TF game. They could even just toss in an artbook and sell alot of CEs.
Yobuster
Does anyone know what extras will be available for Canada and Canadian Retailers?
Galaxy Convoy
Ah, thanks. Makes sense I guess. Still don't like it, but I get it.

Everyone's talking figure this and figure that. While a figure packed in a collectors editon would be nice. I would be very happy with an OST that has music from both WFC and FOC , an art book and numbered lithograph from HMS. How hard would it be for HMS to do that?
Packing DLC codes for all offered pre-order skins and a few exclusives would be nice too. I wouldn't care if it was just an exclusive color with no additional abilities–just some sort of thank you to fans, like Game Stop's bad @$$ Megatron/Shockwave guns! Damn you HMS!!!! To be honest, this is what I want more than a figure since I'm not too happy with the figures this time around, save for the FOC Starscream toy which kicks all sorts of video game figures @$$.
Dirge121
I'm sorry, but skyrim has less appeal than transformers? Haha, no.
Also duke nukem was a game hyped for about a decade.
Yeah, they could use resources to make a collectors edition, but unless you have a ton of guaranteed sales then it isn't worth the risk. You can argue it all you like, but no transformers game will ever get the pre-orders of an AAA title.
I'd love a g2 grimlock, but it ain't happening.
TheGame2K5
Duke Nukem had a CE. lol. Are you going to tell me a game that I can get for $3 a few months after release has more mass appeal than a Transformers game? Thats why I think an easy way for them to do one would be repaint a FOC figure for a CE exclusive. You think TF fans wouldnt plunk down some $$ for something like a G2 colored FOC Grimlock? Collector Edition themselves are a niche market. The masses that bought Skyrim didnt all run out for the CE hence them being clearance for $60 now.
