Ever since the release of their Hercules project, fans of the 3rd Party Group TFC Toys have been dying to know what project the group will tackle next. We’re one step closer to finding that out, thanks to some design sketches found over on ACToys of what look like Strafe, Nosecone, Lightspeed and Afterburner. In other words, Computron and the Technobots. This matches up to TFCToys’ recent teasing through social media saying the project would have the color red at first and then changing their answer to white.
Take this as a rumor for now as these are only design sketches and there are no physical prototypes as of yet. Click the title bar to check out all the sketches and then head over to the 3rd Party Discussion forum to discuss the possibilities!

Actually I'd say Bruti is probably their worst thing, parts forming miss mash of g1 and energon that just don't work for me. Swindle and blastoff are sweet but all the extra junk and only about half of it really fits right and looks nice when not combined plus the arm joins trash them selves after a while, totally FP biggest failing but even their biggest failing does look fantastic in at least 1 mode and totally shelf worthy.
Warbot could have been as good with about half the steps taken out to transform him, just cos some if complex doesn't make it good you know.
Maggi was early days but still their best, shame cos if they had done him later we might not have dumb ass BFG and actually have a car transporter trailer instead of weirdbox on wheels.
Bugs all have sweet ninja goodness about them, if it weren't for the blade issues I'd give them the top spot and say big H should look at stuff like that with g1 with a twist.

I think FansProject is overrated. Their choices of what to do are generally fantastic, but I don't think their designs are quite as amazing as people make them out to be. Bruticus probably lives up to the hype (design flaw for the arm attachment aside) but other than that… It's cool, it's just not 'Hasbro should take notes!' good. The only thing Hasbro should take notes on is their decisions of what to do…
Hexatron
Warbot is a great figure if you don't play with him to much and get him in a pose that he can stay in without falling, however he was worth the 80 bucks when I got him but at 110 I think that would be pushing it.
Yea I kinda play with my figures non stoplol so maybe its my fault not fansprojects

They hype exists because FP has proven themselves in the long run. I own everything they have made except the CJ upgrade set and the Alts matrix gun thing.
For myself personally, FP has a very distinct flavour to them which I appreciate. That and the QC issues they have are minimal and when they are big FP fixes them. Saying all this I think it is fair to add that I do not move my figures around a lot so I have no clue how they stand up to wear and tear, my Springer is still as solid as the day I bought it.

CC was my first 3rd party buy and remains one of my favorite toys. Bruticus is also pretty awesome, although i wish they had done something with B's thighs.
I do need a springer but I really dont know if Defender is the best we'll get. its a particularly shitty dilemma right now because he's back in stock :/
but FP isnt perfect and i dont want everything they make. the concept of the heartmaster still baffles me to this day, its not based on anything, which is like 90% of what this whole 3rd party thing is about: giving us what we never got before and nailing the G1 likeness as much as possible.
Hexatron
I wish they had used better plastic for warbot because he is an awesome toy but every single joint is floppy loose on mine, I do love CC and protector though
deaculpa
FP has their weaknesses just like everyone else. what comes immediately to mind is how they missed the mark on two of the three insecticon heads. i want insecticons, not quasi-insecticons.
Hexatron
I don't get why everyone has a hard on for fansproject, yes they make good figures but are they any better than Hercules, mmc KMC, and PE SFX. Before anyone says anything about design flaws remember warbot can't stand up, my balljoints and ratchets on anything fansproject are loose as hell because the plastic has worn down, and alot of people broke the blades on thundershread because of tolerances. With all this said I do like fansproject and they make good products but other companies have made products that are comperable or better. That's my two cents, and im not looking for an argument I just want to know why there is this hype.
Transbot90210
Come on. With FP's track record do you really think they will put out a crap combiner?
Going by what FP has produced and what people who have seen the designs say, I am confident that Menasor will be a figure people swoon over.
daimchoc
That's right… I posted "RELEASED" and not to be released. Fansproject has not released any combiners only upgrades, so far.
Astronut
That's why I asked instead of just assuming he was wrong.
deaculpa
how is this so confusing for you?
Transbot90210
No we are referring to the up coming Menasor. He was referring to Bruticus with the upgrading an already made combiner comment.
Transbot90210
I will pretend you two haven't heard the rumour (comfirmed by insiders) that FansProject will be releasing Menasor. And original mould combiner so no FP does not only piggy back.
As for why I want it done by FP? I like the Manga spin FP puts on figures and I think this spin will work extremely well with the Terrorcons. I believe it will be done so well that this will be a set that will be desired for the alt modes.
S250 is a well respected insider. I don't get what he is saying but it is always best to believe the insiders. They never feed us crap info.
deaculpa
They're referring to Bruticus.
Astronut
That's what I thought (why I put TFC in parenthesis before SC), but S250 is making it sound like even Computron/Abominus are StarCats, and that TFC are working on something other than that as well. Or maybe it's just me being dumb.
daimchoc
As far as I know, StarCats was commissioned under TFC. So those are all under TFC's umbrella.
Astronut
isn't it the opposite? The not-defensor and Combining-Dinobots-For-Some-Reason are (TFC) StarCats, and these other sketches are TFC?
Scaleface
I'd like to see iGear make a mini-bots combiner with the existing chartacters. Brawn as the body, Bumblebee, Windcharger, Cliffjumper and Gears as limbs.
