Can anyone confirm if on Masterforce disc 4 the episode: God Ginrai into the Sky starting at 6:12 all subtitles are still a sentence off?
Kid_Convoy
Just received my copy via AMAZON. It's pretty much like the Headmasters set before it, just subtitles and an art gallery for its extras. Really wish it at least had a clean opening & closing and maybe a few of the Japanese commercials but it's nice to simply have the set as a stand alone.
Also, I do appreciate that they tried to clean up the visuals as much as possible. Still felt a little "blurry" to me but it wasn't by much. Have to run through the series completely for a more honest review, but from the 4 episodes I watched, it wasn't bad.
Overall, it's nice to finally have this set in my hands. ^_^

So anyone get this, thoughts?

Hm so Godmasters don't have the right for freedom, right? Because they aren't sentient
Laharah
OK. Thanks for the answer
SouthtownKid
No. That's a fan dub project.

If I'm not mistaken, this video [DH] Transformers Masterforce – Metal Hawk.wmv – YouTube is official for new DVD-set, right? If so, then it's gonna be dubbed in a perfect way!
BTW, anybody heard if they're gonna release Pretender toys as it was back then? It'd be nice to buy some of them, since it's really hard to find any Pretender toys (especially Japanese Metalhawk)

Hopefully they will also release Victory…. or you might end up with extra copies of Headmasters and Masterforce.

The japanese name of the series is not the right one on the cover of the masterforce and victory box sets, under the title in english is the headmasters logo for both sets.

Cool! I was thinking I'd have to bite the bullet and get the trilogy set, giving me two copies of Headmasters, which I didn't want to do. This is great! Box art isn't all that bad.

For myself it's due to dyslexia (I always find it ironic the word for a reading problem is a weirdly-spelt one). Not just trying to unscramble letters but also how some subtitles go by really fast before I can read them so I have to keep stopping and rewinding to catch everything.
But I can agree with this too:
Although after I've seen anything subtitled for the first time I can pretty much ignore them and just watch the show or whatever as I already know what's going on.

While I can't speak for everyone, I personally dislike subtitles because it forces you to have to be watching every single second of the show, meaning I wouldn't be able to simple things like read this message board or anything else while watching TV. Not to mention it just feels so annoying to have spend the whole show focusing on the bottom so I can "read" the TV. But hey, that's just me.
SouthtownKid
I'd be very surprised if it wasn't.

Is it still region-protected?

Good news indeed!
But DVD is of the past!! Why not in Blu-Ray already for gawd sakes?!!!

Every time I see someone say that, I have to fight back my impulse to ask them "Why?" I'm not quite there yet.

Yes I need to see those as well, catching up with my Trans cartoon, got done with Season 1-3, finished Prime and now on to Beast Wars.

ive never seen maser force so i might get this when it comes out though i still need to get head masters

Well, I can tell on that cover art that that is NOT the Overlord from Last Stand of the Wreckers – that sort of "What the…?" face he's got there. : P
(Yeah, he's facing off against God Ginrai, but still…)
