Can't say I am impressed.
And that Optimus Maximus- what a bunch of crap.

Dreadwing's colour scheme looks much better than Skyquake
TrueNomadSkies
Those are the names tied to much of their promotion & inventory info, so even though they're still deluxes & such by size class, those names probably won't ever go away, especially for collectors. I'm not a huge fan of em either, but they stick & they're unique, so I say whatever.

How do you feel about Skyquake/Dreadwing after watching the "Loose Cannnons" episode. I too was bothered at first by the "repainting" they were going to do, but now I am kind of excited. I was orignially planning on getting Dreadwing's cyberverse toy and Skyquake's voyager toy. Now I want both in whichever mold is better.
Stepper
Weaponizer Bumblebee is fun to play with as the weapon will be auto revealed just a single press to the front car hood
Jaicen
Hmm, nice video, however I can see that Voyager Starscream is going to be huge, way out of scale with Voyager Megs. Dammit.
seekerblackout
Now can people stop calling them Revealers and Powerizers?
Ravenxl7
Didn't notice that video before. It's definitely a niece explanation of what's going on with the size-classes. Also, for thirty bucks that Bumblebee is going to be hard to pass-up. Between him and Voyager Starscream, it looks like my Prime collection won't be all Cyberverse after-all, lol…
Kylehudson14
Uh, well in that case I may get Optimus for $29.99. That's alot better than $44.99.

Just hope that the paintjob for RID Bulkhead also has the metalic green as of it's counterpart of FE version
hotspot_2001
Just got my FE Bulkhead today and all I can say is wow. He just looks amazing and is really well put together. Interesting transformation and holds together very tightly in robot mode.
Given what we've seen of the RID Bulkhead I am glad I went ahead and bought him even if I do feel a little dirty for paying three times what a voyager would normally cost me if I could get it at retail. There doesn't seem to be any contest between the two of them.

For this i agree that Takara make collectables, looking at their product we should know but both are so called of the same company, each brand name having their own unique marketing strategy to sell their toys to the world.
Ratchets Hatch
I feel quite the opposite, actually. The RID Deluxes and Voyagers are chocked full of gimmicks, which younger kids love.
Cyberverse is designed for collectibility, which is what many older kids like.
CyberShadow
Yes and no. The whole concept of toy collecting and displaying toy robots is totally different over there. It's far more accepted and accessible. Toy collectors make up a larger percentage of sales and it's considered a more 'normal' thing. This means that collectors are kept in mind more for the Takara market than they are in the West.
I agree that these are still toys that we are talking about, but there is slight shift. For example, Hasbro don't go to the same lengths on painting their figures because kids don't care so much and the paint wouldn't last anyway. Takara are more free to do this because collectors appreciate it. It also reflects in prices, which is why Takara can charge more for their figures than Hasbro can.
EDIT: For example, when walking around Singapore I came across this.
This is in a shopping centre, and it's one persons collection, just out on display.

It's more accepted.

Takara makes toys, too. Maybe kids over there can handle more from their toys.
Sumner Sturgeon
Yeah, seriously. News flash, people– Hasbro is a toy company, therefore EVERYTHING they make is directed toward kids. People like us are a negligible part of the equation.
seekerblackout
CyberShadow
Not really. Hasbro is a toy company in the West making toys. I am not sure what people are expecting.
Even the larger figures are being simplified exactly to appeal to kids more. Takara make collectables. Hasbro make toys.
Darkprime
Aren't the cyberverse figures more targeted to kids? It would seem like the deluxes/voyagers to be targeted to collectors and bigger kids.
Stepper
that is one bad thing about Hasbro, they are just targeting at kids nowadays
