A new listing on auction site, Taobao, has revealed what appears to be a Mount St. Hillary playset possibly made by a 3rd party group. While the volcano playset is missing the Autobot’s crashed shuttle, The Ark, this item does feature; a flip down Teletran-1 computer, is compatible with Legends, Cyberverse or Heroes of Cybertron Figures and opens up into a small base. No word on who is responsible for this set just now, but we’ll keep you posted here on TFW.
Check out the images after the break.

I resourced it here: http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/tutorials-how-tos/335802-ark-playset-teletraan-1-a.html
You'll notice that I kept the integrity of you as the original artist, etc. Thank you very much for sharing this resource with us here. If there is anything I can do to make this better, please lmk

Thanks, just saw this.
Otherwise, the set's a nice start, for what it is. They're still missing the ship portion. But for a playset, it could be worse.

Thanks!

They actually stole it from me. Surprise, surprise. Not like I'm surprised, with these third party guys. I already posted on Seibertron, so apologies if folks see it as whining. I see it as what it is: them ripping off someone. And not in a good way. The Teletraan aesthetic doesn't even fit the rest of the set.
They took my artwork, that I made free for the fandom to print out—with the explicit request to please not try to make money off it, as it's "art" and not for sale. It was never intended for me to make money off it. I myself pulled comic book artwork, etc. that was not my own just to fill the tech screens, but I either credit artists such as Alex Milne if I knew who the artist was, or I simply said that the artwork was not mine. Regardless, it was fan art and never to be sold for any profit or anything.
What they've done with the mountain itself isn't really ripping off any intellectual property. It's a mountain playset, based roughly off the cartoon. Where they went wrong, and why I don't support the set (even if I collected that scale of TFs), is them stealing artwork.
Sure, they condensed it and chopped it up and moved parts around, but it's my work at the end of the day. Nobody from them ever contacted me or anything of the like, either. Which is disappointing, but what do you expect from these Chinese third party guys?

The Teletraan-1 is Mandingo Rex's (he pointed it out at Seibertron, and isn't happy about it):

Although simplistic, it actually looks really cool. I could see myself picking this up.

I guess people could also pretend it's the entrance to the Ruby Crystal mines. And then later roll an Optimus down the side. And then take the top off so the Decepticons could escape.
I know I'd be doing that if I had this set as a kid (and some Legends size figures) and had just seen that episode of the cartoon.

Cute! Id buy it for novelty factor.

This is so wacky yet cool.

I love the concept here! If $17 is accurate, that makes this an actual toy, not just a collectors item. Legends have always been more of a kid focused line, so this is great for the members here raising transfans generation 2.
I do have to say that I was excited about the 3mm tall transforming Optimus when I thought this was legends sized, oh the dissapoimtment!

This is the quality that really strikes a chord in me here. This LOOKS like a toy, and that's something I really like about this set. I like the functionality and interaction of the set as well. The lack of the actual Ark is a major fail, though. I also deplore the TRANSFORMERS logo on images that are not official products. Third parties are fun until the neighbors start complaining and start dialing the local police. Then the booze and dancing stops, and everyone's sad.
Well-played. Well. Played.
Also, seeing The Crow post his custom, as well as some others in Radicons post customs of their interpretations give our community quite an array of options for such a set at an already-affordable rate. Just sayin'

Nice. I definitely agree. This would be a neat pick up for anyone wanting the feeling of when using stuff around the house to make playsets!

I'd purchase it. Most of my TF's are legend class anyhow so this would be a great addition to my collection. All thats left is the underwater nemesis and my TF legends stop motion/web comic is ready for production!

I like it, but then again I'm a sucker for the Legends line. I really like the color and it will look great with the RTS Legends!
