CM’s Corp have updated their homepage with some new information and prototype images of their Guttu Kurru series Minerva. Minerva was one of three teens to join the Autobots in the Masterforce series as Headmaster Juniors. Minerva is known for her great compassion and being the level headed one out of the trio of herself, Cab and Shuta. This licensed figure from CMs represents Minerva in her exosuit, and comes with three different facial expressions plus her helmet (the final version presumably will have a clear visor over the eyes).
Click on the link above to check out the images of this fully licensed figure from CMs. According to the page, the figure will stand 185mm tall and be released sometime in 2012. Also in the Guttu Kurru series from Masterforce will be a figure of Ginrai – we eagerly anticipate our first look at him!

Must have these…………..
Anyone know around what they'll cost? Also, will RK or BBTS carry these?
Thanks in advance.

It's weird, I totally did not see the Nightbeat recolor version coming, even though it's blatantly obvious. I think it turned out really well though.

^damn you GogDog, you keep making me want to spend money, i know the second she is up for pre-order i will have to get her, at least she can chill with the noriko i am getting from the same line

Messing around in Photoshop. It's not exactly how the pupils are, but I couldn't get it to look exactly right at 3:00 am.

This is (kinda) true. Minerva is the female Japanese version of the West's Nightbeat. (If you squint really hard, you can see the detailing for the presumptively male Muzzle's exo-suit was made for Minerva, the French teenager.) Although the toy is just as blocky as Nightbeat (any number of other 80's TFs), the animators went into full "anime mode" to make this Autobot look feminine. To further complicate this show, while Minerva has a new color scheme, many other TFs with Japan-exclusive colors and identities show up with American/European colors (such as the Decepticon Powermaster planes and Firecons).

now i have to get it

Haha I know, right? I got through watching Super God Masterforce by the end of last week so I've been thinking of those sorts of things. The Headmaster Juniors Exosuits would have to be something like a pressure suit to stop so much blood from rushing to their heads when they're combined in head mode. The vulnerabilities of the concept weren't explored here – bit distatseful for things to be happening to central characters that are children though!
As an example of tactics that explot weaknesses in specific teams, I recall something like this happening during a battle on cybertron in the Headmasters series: Aerialbots form Superion and get the jump on the Stunticons. Superion picks up a couple of them, throws one of them out of the battle and so, combining range, and the plays keepings off with the Stunticon he's still clutching. I may be mistankenly condensing two seperate events but it was pretty cool really.

Totally out of left field! I like it!

I'd rather have Humans in 3.75" size or slightly smaller.
Kickers GF would be good as would the Cybertron Kids.
Even some PVC's would have some merit to them.
MAIDEN JAPAN
I just want the back pack head. I don't care about the figure. lol
I like how they engineered so that visor is movable.
Naztok
This is really putting into perspective what a Headmaster has to go through.
I mean even if the helmet-chair makes it so she doesn't have to dislocate her knees to transform, she'd still have to bury her head in the transtector to combine and then support herself by her neck muscles.
This is such an insane concept, and thats why I want it!
adambman
Well theres obviously an attachment mechanism of some kind on the back of the face for backpack mode, so there's at least one way of attaching it alone to the chair/helmet. Prior to this I'd wondered if Minerva's exosuit armour plates might detach to – or otherwise – form part of the head. The chair helmet is alot more straightforward, if for now hypothetical.
With these sorts of features for Minerva, I wonder, what could they possibly include on Ginrai? Unless his apparent higher popularity alone will be used to sell him.
GogDog
Yeah. There is no way they are going to make the effort to make a two-stage transforming face on her backpack and just leave it at that.
SPLIT LIP
That's cool that they gave her that backpack. Interested to see how this goes.
GogDog
If they're going to go as far as making her face transform, it seems like a waste to just leave it on her back. I think this figure still has some surprises yet to be revealed.
adambman
I was thinking along those lines too; the Transector face isn't much bigger than Minerva's own head! The chair would make the head mode look more substantial, and otherwise give Minerva something to chill out in.
GogDog
That would be amazing if they included a helmet chair so I can have a giant Minerva head to sit on a table for display.
Loving this so far. So damn random.
