2005 Boards member TCracker has passed along word that the Asian market release version of Masterpiece Convoy (aka Optimus Prime) Version 2.0 will come with a commemorative coin, in the same style as the one that came with Rodmus Convoy. The coin comes packaged in a rather handsome pocket based on the front of Convoy’s truck mode / his chest, which slides in half to open. MP-10, which is set to release tomorrow in Malaysia, is the new and redesigned version of the Masterpiece Convoy mold and features a trailer with Roller, plus a Spike driver figure.

Looks and "feels" like a right sized Prime for Classics. I might have to part with my Faith Leader when this shows up at BBTS…

thanks just saw them now. i have to say i'm not impressed with it, but still want it bad. wish they kept his fingers full articulated though…maybe he'll actually be able to hld the gun more solidly without though.

^ There's a couple of in-hand pics posted over at Seibertron.com with size comparisons next to MP-04 and that Faith Leader KO.

was hoping someone in malaysia would have in hand pics by now up on the web but i assume it'll be another day or so. i want this thing bad!

I think if the success of Unicron is any indication, we could be seeing Amazon with more exclusives. They have a lot of warehouse space and no store shelves to compete for.
Billzilla
According to TCracker, who is generally regarded as being "the guy who knows about the Masterpiece line," yes they have.

kinda curious if they thought out making this thing modular enough to do Ultra Magnus and Power Master Prime out of ~ that's one design that IMHO is begging for an upgrade (cool design, woefully bad toy, bricktastic even by G1 standards)

Welcome to the economical price jump, lucky gas didn't reach 5$ a gallon, but I also am acustome to the hike!
PoweredConvoy
22 cm in Hot Rod mode, just under 23 cm in Rodimus mode.

I'm not so sure that all this speculation of MP 11 being a seeker redo is true. especially if its an F14. I think someone was confused by a proto for the SDCC skystriker (an F14 in starscream colours). By size alone it could be mistaken for a masterpiece.

Well, between TRU and Wal-Mart, TRU has gotten the last two MPs, and seemingly done fairly well with them. Last time Wal-Mart had an MP, Skywarp, it failed miserably for them (although that was pretty much entirely their fault, with terrible distribution, over-flooding the market 10x over in some areas, with practically nothing in others).

Can I put this in my signature?

You want to talk Racist? Look at Jazz's pretender shell..

Why does everyone throw around TRU as the only place that MPs will go? I know that the last two have gone to TRU but why should we think that that's the only place a new one will go?
Besides, TRU is barely hanging on as a major player in the toy biz last I checked.
wildfly
Maybe because TRU don't want a Prime that costs more than $60 unless it combines with a trailer and has electronics.
Or maybe they do. Who knows.
guard convoy
this thread still shows that people don't understand how takaratomy works
Convoy will sell gangbusters in japan, he will sell better than any other masterpiece they make. Takaratomy will use that money made from convoy to make new masterpeices, so it will be all good.
if you compare his price to that of rodimus, you will see the price is warranted

Haha, and they were all invited. Heck, I'm pretty sure Prime was down for a couple brews after a hard day of bustin' deceptichops. Though, I'm think he wasn't much of a music fan.
(Also, for a minute I was totally lost on the racist thing, totally forgot how Blaster used to talk.)

I'd say Blurr had more of a coke problem than meth.
Wheelie & Beachcomber clearly preferred the ganja.
Shockwave seemed like he could be a drinker constantly muttering "f*ck my life" in the depths of Cybertron. So bored… so lonely.
Billzilla
That's racist!
Blurr was clearly on meth. Magnus was on roids. Kup was a drunk. Grimlock was on mushrooms.

Pretty sure Roddy is pure straight-edge.
Dude was kind of a downer in that regard and wasn't invited to a lot of the autobot parties that Blaster and Jazz used to throw.
