The Transformers Collector’s Club has just updated their website with images of the upcoming Club Exclusive Runabout, which is coming sometime in 2012. Runabout and Runamuck (Who is the Club Freebie toy for the next year) are both remolds of the Generations Wheeljack mold with a new head that is shared among both of them, and are based upon the G1 characters of the same name.

I'll be rejoining in October or November. Not many things could have enticed me to rejoin, but the Battlechargers did it. Now, if you could just find a way to get us some Dinobots as club exclusives…
Eh, scratch that. I want them as a regular retail release, so everyone can get them. Still, great job on the Battlechargers!

Well after seeing that video for the Battle Charger mod on the Wheeljack mold I guess I'm sold. Looks like I'll be rejoining the club sometime after Christmas, these guys are just too good to pass up. Hopefully the fact that I've moved since I was last in the club doesn't cause any issues though, I've seen other posts regarding that topic from folks and that has me kinda nervous.

Im in the club, have been since Dion, but i have a concern-i always re-vamp around the beginning of March. does this mean that I'm at the tail end of the shipping list? =[

Reading the whole thread just now, seeing your exchange with Pete, and then that post … wow. Welcome to the club.
Exactly. I think you don't even need to live in the US for that. You do need Internet access, money, and to follow BotCon/The_TCC twitter accounts, or check the frontpages/news sections of sites like TFW2005/Seibertron/Allspark/etc (which I guess you're doing, since I consider you a TFW2005 regular), so you'll know in advance the expected date for the exclusives to go live in the TCC store; that way, you should be able to get the exclusives without much problem.
I've had trouble ordering exclusives from Mattycollector due to traffic, and one time I even got ordered figures cancelled without a valid reason. OTOH, I've never had such problems with the TCC exclusives. Even Ramjet.
One other thing: make up your mind whether you want an exclusive before they go on sale. I procastinated (sp?) with SG Cyclonus, and missed my chance.

Sooooo excited for these two! going to explode waiting. And im doubly excited because for the first time I'll probably be able to GO to Botcon for the first time if its east coastish so I want the FULL experience lol
Lumpy
seems like the 2012 exclusives really have people excited. hopefully the club helps this all go smooth.

Well… I've joined! If they show up this time next year I'll be happy.
Long live- wait- hurrah for the Battlechargers!
Scourge, not Nemesis Prime!
Let Generations/United Trailbreaker be a tall deluxe! haha
Lumpy
yeah… i can't think of many other jeep molds that'd work… but there's gotta be something… and if not, there's plenty of other figures that could use updating.
Bravemaximike
Yeah, seriously. Off the top of my head it was the first thing that came to mind, as far as alt mode goes. And I figured, since this was a wish-list anyways…
I guess if we exclude Hound's classics mold, and we can't use FP Munitioner, then how about………………… gosh, are we really that low on jeep molds?
Okay then, we use Alternator Hounds mold, and explain away the gross scale difference by saying Ol' Rollbar absorbed some of the power of the Underbase or something, I dunno
Lumpy
really? we're still going with "The Runs" for them? why not just call them the Skidmark Duo, you know, since they're both cars?
i doubt that'll happen. I can't think of a year that ever happened, though I think there was one year (between Airazor and Astrotrain and the Seacons and Nightbeat) where the club didn't release any extra exclusives… i think these two will be out on time…
i can understand that… i can see why people want the different molds, but understand this choice… and the Tracks mold would've been better for Runamuck than Runabout… but i still dig these two with the same look.
hahah, yeah, they'll use a 3rd party item… that's funny… but seriously, there's probably gotta be another jeep/truck mold that'd work… and now i want Energon Demolisher as Wideload even more…
i love all the reactions to MMM joining… that's made this thread even more fun.
Boardwise
Liking these two a lot.
Hopefully I'll be able to afford to renew to get these (though I'll be probably be looking for the wonderful US contact that sorted me out with P/CP and Cheetor to help with Runabout, due to the horrendous shipping to the UK)
Did I just enter Bizzaro Universe?

I definately get where you're coming from, a Throttlebot rainbow would be a cool and cost effective way of tying most of that unit together visually. Now you've got me wondering how the Bumblebee mold would look in a metallic blue somewhere between that of United Tracks and Henkei Thundercracker!
I have to agree with what you said about Chase and Searchlight though; for some reason I have a soft spot for the latter character and would love to see him with his fog/driving lights. The Bee mold seems like the best option for both by default here, and I think if they both had remolded feet maybe, (pop up headlights and rally lamps respectively). Then again, the same alterations if at all could work on the new Wheeljack(or Tracks) mold; the Lancia Stratos is an Italian sportscar (like Chase) and rally-bred with the option to fit fog lamps (like Searchlight). Ok, that's a very lean connection, and isn't an idea I'm biased toward- just putting it out there
Wideload I'm just not sure on… Rollbar? Perhaps he'd be good as a repaint/mold of the (likely Deluxe) Brawn that FP has said is deserving of a HasTak release? Thats to say nothing of the others FP are leaving alone and their typical repaints …got to draft some Brawn designs I've got on my mind soon, haha.
primenemesis
i think they will de-thrown punch counterpunch's epicness in the fandom. (meaning toys that TFCC sold!)
Torque
too small lol
Bravemaximike
This could be very cool, and I wouldn't mind at all, I'd buy it! I do think keeping them all with the Classics Bb base would be more "throttlebot" lookin'.
I love the idea of the Energon Dumptruck guy as Wideload, that would work.
They have used Hounds mold before, so… Maybe FP Swindle?
Motor_Master
Not knowing how the molds were created, I was going on the assumption that going between Tracks and Wheeljack would require different molds for the changed parts.
That works for me.
So I forgot that I have both battle chargers behind me on a shelf (initially I was just going by my recollection and the club pictures). After comparing the toys to the mockup pics, I take my hat off to the club. You kept all the key identifying marks of both figures and tweaked them just enough to freshen it up. Bravo guys, Bravo!
adambman
This! One extra smidgen of effort seems harmless and agreeable, but multiplied by the number of different tweaks and preferences proposed here, that soon exceeds the possibilities with any one figure lol.
The front spoiler on Runabout, combined with the paintjob gives off a hint of a Mad Max vibe, without going into the destruction derby/Lockdown visual motifs
adambman
Heres an idea I've mentioned on a couple of other threads how about the new Tracks mold for Freeway? He's not the tallest Deluxe in the Classics/Henkei etc line, and in G1 they both turned into blue Corvettes. All that has to be done is: leave off the missiles and hood/bonnet – leg deco, flip the legs around at the waist and use Wheeljack's calves then maybe add Jazz's head and he's done!
PS Thanks, Lumpy
Pete Sync
Not an effort issue. Just decided that for this homage we wanted both to have same design. Just preferred the wheeljack aesthetic for both…
Sidecutter
I'm not sure I do understand why they didn't. The parts are all on the same toolings, after all (at least, this can be safely presumed), and the bumpers can be swapped without affecting the leg transformation at all (you can use them without using the Tracks shins that prevent proper knee function in the Wheeljack leg transformation).
I'm not saying I don't love them both as-is. I'm just saying I'd like the club to make that extra smidgen of effort.
