The Transformers Collectors Club has revealed the free figure for 2012. Runamuck is looking sharp here, sporting a head remold for the Generations Tracks/Wheeljack mold. His partner Runabout, will be offered later in 2012 via the club store. Additionally, a turn around of the new head has been posted to the clubs twitter. Runamuck is available as an incentive for joining the Transformers Collectors Club.
Check out the images and discuss after the jump!
Update: The club has also posted a head sculpt turnaround to their Facebook page

You're welcome.
If you sign up for the Club by March 16, 2012 (I believe) you get Runamuck for free. The other Club exclusives you usually have to be right on the ball to get (or within a couple days to a couple weeks) as some sell out very quickly.

thanks for the info randy I do really like this exclusive figures miss the chance to get G2 Ramjet,Side Burn,Punch/Counterpunch wich I like the most
PoweredConvoy
They usually do 1 free figure that comes with the price of your membership. There are then usually 2 club exclusive figures you can purchase.
In regards to BotCon they tend to have 10 to 13 figures for the convention. The 5 figure box set, 1 free figure for attending the convention and with purchase of the box set, and then usually 3 souvenirs sets with two sets having 2 figures each and one last one as a troop builder with 3 of the same figure.

Like a free video game?

how many exclusive figures tcc release a year? and if they do more than one are we able to buy the figure and if so for a reasonable price?
Transbot90210
A kid? What year was it? Late 80s IIRC? I was in the very least 10 maybe as old as 12 or 13 I really don't remember.
I belong to the G1er group of collectors, I was 8 when TFs premiered lol
Now I feel old.
Wyvern
You were a kid when that promotion was going on?
Old I feel… Really old..
Transbot90210
Wel I shall hate you in return because I still lust over your Avatar pic.
Those are some nice and big seat belts in that pic
Trailbreaker77
Yea, I'm going to go ahead and hate you because I didn't get that.
Transbot90210
I signed up for Nintendo Power when I was a kid. Don't remember what it cost but I do remember when I signed up I got a free Legends of Zelda game out of it.
Trailbreaker77
I remember subscribing to Nintendo Power and some comics when I was young they probably totaled around $40 and I got no toy out of the deal. I could see a parent signing a son or daughter up for a TFCC membership. Heck I did that for my nephew a few years back so I agree with Pete you might be surprised.
Foster
You'd pay twice that for "Ultimate" Prime.
PoweredConvoy
Yeah $40 for a free figure and an exclusive bi-monthly magazine isn't a lot of money.

I don't know about you, but I pay $40 for my membership. $40 for 7 items… really not so bad.
As far as "collector"… c'mon remember being a kid? Isn't it cool to call yourself a "collector" of something you're really into? What, kids are big fans of Transformers but won't want to join a club because they use the word "collector"?
Anguirus
We probably would be surprised. But no doubt "we" are still a majority. Moreover, the leadership is comprised of fans anyway so quantity and quality of fanservice is not exactly an issue.
Lots of people bemoan the false dichotomy between selling to "kids" and selling to "collectors," but as Hasbro keeps proving it's not all that difficult to sell to both, as long as you don't preemptively rule out one in the planning stage.

My point is that the movies, cartoons, video games, etc. MAY have drummed up more interest in kids in the TF brand. It inturn MAY have created this desire in today's kids to join TFCC.
Kids may WANT do join TFCC but, how many parents would realistically spend between $50 and $70 for 6 magazines and a deluxe figure?
I'm a parent myself and IMO I'd have to say NOT MANY. It's just my opinion and I may be wrong here but, the TFCC is most likely made up of a majority of hardcore fans who have a disposable income and also the burning desire to spend that disposable income on something like the TFCC.
The third word in the name of the club itself is a dead giveaway. Transformers "COLLECTORS" Club…it is directly marketed at hardcore fans like us. Most kids aren't classified as collectors.

My understanding/ instincts allign with what Randy and Pete (who might have some stats too) are saying here. Like myself and a few others said pages ago, the Movies make the associated toys popular; all those toy packages have an advertisement for the Club, right?
I certainly didn't see any promotional material for fansites like tfw on there lol; there could be a huge number of people that therefore follow the club without overlapping into the subset of fans that follow TF news beyond that, particularly with the movies.
Agreed! And if that makes me sound like too fixated on G1, I'll use my 'obscure' knowledge to set a historical precedent for Randy's enthusiasm; I see what TFCC offers as the contemporary counterpart to the mail away figures. Which I daresay were quite popular with kids, some of whom might've grown up to be some of the proud obscurists who use this forum and just maybe agree with me lol
Trailbreaker77
This would have been my response as well.

I'd be interested in finding out how true this is.
I know if I was a kid and saw Transformers Collectors' Club on the back of every Transformer I bought I'd be interested in joining.
