Word reaches us from UK fansite Full Metal Hero that a Dark of the Moon Leadfoot toy – literally “Red Daytona Car” in solicitations – is being shopped around as an exclusive item by “a well known UK wholesaler”. According to Full Metal Hero, “the order quantity must be 5000 for the exclusivity and it may possibly be stocked by a high street chain well known for serving the UK with sci fi products, it is however currently open to whichever company decides to bite first.”
Pretty vague. However, this implies that as some have speculated due to his Target sponsor details, the Impala Wrecker Leadfoot will be a store exclusive toy, potentially a Target exclusive. This information relates to the UK, but typically store exclusives in the UK are also store exclusives in other markets. So could Dark of the Moon Leadfoot be a store exclusive in the US as well?
To clarify – this relates to a possible mainline Leadfoot toy. The Cyberverse (Legends) Leadfoot will be a mass release.Keep it TFW2005 for more updates to this rumor and all things Transformers Dark of the Moon!

Well they did do his stealth force for the human alliance figure so I don't know what their plan is. But I am sure they will make a Armored Roadbuster in time. Remember we still haven't seen deluxe toys of Mirage and the Einstein bot yet.

I agree, I have no clue why Hasbro decided not to do Roadbuster with the Stealth Force armor. Maybe his stealth force was to difficult to translate into a toy? Maybe it's because an intact Dale Jr. NASCAR model might become more valuable. I don't know.
But I look forward to hopefully a better toy of him, hopefully one without so much back kibble.

Interesting. A full set of excellent versions of the Wreckers might make me buy some DOTM toys beside the Prime model kit, after all! Deluxe Topspin is a standout in the size class, but I'm so far passing due to the other dlx Wrecker we've seen looking kind of shonky (I'm baffled by why Roadbuster's car mode looks nothing like the on-screen car. I assume it's some license nonsense, shame..)
But, if they do a Topspin-level job with dlx Leadfoot, and we get an accurate dlx Roadbuster later in the line, then that could be a nice little set to pick up.

i can see that prime mold being used for normal release in later waves and yeah your right arcee and rodimuss where supposed to be mass release not exlusives ironhide probly was part of that set

Who knows, maybe they will use the weapon mode/stealth mode to mask the logos? It seemed to work well for the Topspin mold. There is barely any "Lowes" insignias on it. I don't know, just a theory…

i cant speak for the useless deluxe prime but hot rod and arcee alreaDY exsisted and were slated for a notrmal release till hasblow pulled th eplug then decided to release em but fearing potential massive shelf clogging opted to make em tru only as tru probably put int he highest or only bids for them to be that way.

i hope leadfoot is mass retail. exclusives are are ntohign mroe than stupid gimicks to corall the secondary market. Also scalpers hit exclusives like flies in cow poop and if people want em they gotta buy em at over inflated prices. nothing main shoudl be store exclsusives.

Fans are gonna want to complete their wreckers and they limit the options, this is not only not fair to us collectors but also to young kids that also like transformers and want to complete the set. They are not only depriving us but they are assuredly depriving kids as the scalpers will rise again.
Hasbro has dropped another clanger yet again, they are a horrible company.

To me, this pretty much confirms that Leadfoot will be a repaint of either Topspin or Roadbuster. No way would Hasbro spend that much money to make a new mold that's only being sold from one store.
It's a shame, if you ask me. The same thing happened with the Bike Sisters from ROTF, and Elita-1 had an awesome robot mode. Leadfoot looked cool too…
