iGear have updated their Facebook page with a teaser image of one of their upcoming partner products. This one is the MGT-6 Night-Bird, based on the robo-ninja Nightbird from the Generation 1 episode “Enter the Nightbird”. iGear’s Night-Bird is a non-transforming piece with what appears to be a decent level of articulation, and very small accessories in the form of sais, shurikans and a chain. Her chest is also removable – not like that! – to expose the mechanics inside. Overall, this appears to be a very well done and show-acurate version of Nightbird.
What might be also of interest is the reference number. MGT was also used for the Arcee “Delicate Warrior”. So who are MGT-2 through 5? One might be the Firestar we saw once before, but who are the other three? Evidently there’s something in store – or a deliberate decision to skip a few numbers to create a demand!

Cool figure. But I was never a fan of the corrector so I will not be buying this one.

As much of a "good" thing as this price drop is, it looks so bad.
You have a figure going for $116; this price was obviously created after all the math was done. In one day $17 is knocked off.
This just tells people how outrageous the mark up is on this thing.
At this point he will have less customers then he would have at $99. To get those sale numbers back he is now going to have to drop more. This thing will not sell out unless it gets down to under $70. (Depending on quantity) The seller just inadvertently showed us that the piece is not worth the $116 he is asking for. This in turn plants the seed in customers that “If it isn't worth $116, it can't be worth $99" To strengthen this belief in customers is the fact that they already think it is not worth the price. The drop in price just confirms what everyone was thinking…this thing is WAY TOO OVERPRICED.
Simple sales people, make a price, state a price and stick to a price.
To board member that will argue against my knowledge, I am sure you will bring up items going on sale increase sales numbers. This isn't a sale price this is a price drop due to negative fan reaction. Two totally different set of psychological practices.
Sorry greedy 3rd party dude, you just showed how ridicules your mark up is.
Thanx

well, has anything been an igear toy.. ooh snap!!
I did get the Kup head..that's cool..
Transbot90210
I highly doubt this is the bomb. This isn't even an iGear toy.
encline
is this this huge bomb we were waiting for? I just got the email for $99 shipped? Who is ordering this at that price?
Wyvern
Nope. But she never had an alternate mode in the G1 episode. She's just a man made robot ninja. Lol.
mac&cheese
Well they know people will still buy it, so why not? I myself will wait until its much lower.
way too much money to spend on it now.
Ash-T
99? Call me when this gets to 75$ – I'm not willing to pay more. Not right now at least.
TheTFReview
Is it considered Transformer if it doesn't transform?
Transbot90210
I got KMC for $80 shipped. There is no comparing what went in to KMC to what is going in to NB.
NB should be going for $40-$50. I will bite for as high as $60
Wyvern
Id get it if it went down to $70 at the most..
RubberChicken
They must have heard your wails. She's down to $99 shipped.
Wyvern
What chin? She never had a chin..
Necro Prime
Sweet! she looks promising. Better proportions than the impossible toys one. I'm cool with it lacking an alt mode, since she never had one anyway, but I wanna know why no one can give her a descent head sculpt. She has no slagging chin line! And I don't get the see-through midriff on her either…
Ash-T
There must be something to justify this price: more die-cast parts, ball-joints everywhere, Spiderman poseability, light-up eyes or "sword"… Or at least a very limited production number, because right now I don't understand how a non-transformer can cost more than 70-80$. Maybe they reveal something more about her later, but right now I'd rather wait for Firestar.
Cheem The Rup
total agree
Transbot90210
That still does nto explain how a transforming figure and a non tranforming figure, both made by the same person, both (presumably) made the same way, still cost the same amount?
I'm calling total price gouge and unfortunately whoever is making these (not iGear) will see the long term effects in regards to little to no fan support.

Well I know on the Arcee figures, there have been no where near the numbers made say compared to fansproject items. I'm aware it costs more, and I'm fine with it. I know it's a lot more of a limited item too. My reasons for collecting them are just simply because I like them and want them for my collection, nothing more than that. I've sold customs a few years back on ebay that easily went for $200 to $400 each, so to have something from one person made by hand and have it of a top quality construction, I see the value and can appreciate it.
Again, I know it's not for everyone and that's ok. It's actually right now about the same price, and the shipping is included at no additional charge.

So it is the same maker as the Arcee, it does not transform AND it costs more?
That there is the most insane math I have ever had the pleasure of witnessing.

I know size wise I found out this is going to be bigger than their Arcee they have been distributing. Being from the same maker as the Arcee figure, this is bought. I like this character, and I don't mind shelling it out for this figure. I've been VERY extremely happy with my Arcee figure I bought. I know that these are being designed and made and assembled by one person, hence why they have taken a little longer to come out.
