I'm guessing Starscream goes back to Cybertron, rounds up a handful of Decepticons, then comes back to Earth to invade Chicago.
That'd be cool, but I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't have much – if any – connection to the ships and they just paired his figure with it for the toy.

Novels, and comics, fun as they may be, are not considered canon by Michael Bay, so the fact of the matter is, Barricade is MIA filmwise, until we see the closing credits of DOTM, there's a chance he'll appear.
Your argument also contradicts the fact that there's been appearances by Barricade in ROTF pre and post movie comics.
Not to mention other novels as well, set after TFTM (The Veiled Threat) – written by the same author that wrote the movie novelization.

ok just for all you people who are saying barricades in the DOTM read the first movie novel he dies at the hands of optimus after he fights bonecrusher
If you use a Mac, you can just go to "Window" and "Activity" in Safari. This brings up a window of all the files that had to be loaded on the page. Find the movie file (it should be the one that is more than 1 MB). Double click on it and it'll save the file. If it is a .flv file, you'll need a player that can read it. I use VLC for it personally.
Well if we're talking about the same scene, where Sam is in the Blue Car driving down the freeway, the thing that flies around the corner and heads straight towards the rest of the big invaders is called an Orbital Assault Carrier which is the accessory that comes with Cyberverse Starscream. We still dont know why it has a human size hatch and why Sam and Carly are getting inside one, but it definetly bares the same ressemblences.
Nice

The only thing that worries me is why Sam & Carly are jumping into the aircraft … unless all Decepticons have the same ship, in which case I wouldn't be too worried. If they're taking Starscream's, I can only hope that it's not because he gets killed off on Earth, and that they simply stole it from him. No, he must die on the moon with Megatron and whoever else survived.
EDIT: lol i looked at the screencap of the invasion again, it DOES look like they all have the same aircraft. no worries then … screw all other Decepticons. Starscream ftw
ok so WHERE the fudge is SOUNDWAVE i see Lazarbeak and hopefully a rebirth of ravage but wheres their daddy? i hope he has a new form and a VOYAGER CLASS version of it or better yet a LEADER CLASS
It's almost as though they're holding stuff back for the actual movie!
