The very first quad changer in the Star Wars Transformers line will be shown at Toy Fair next month! Rebelscum has posted a scan from ToyNews Magazine, shedding light on the Star Wars Transformers Class III:
The Star Wars Transformers Class III can turn into 4 modes:- Darth Vader
- Anakin Skywalker
- Republic Attack Cruiser
- Star Destroyer
No information with regards to size yet. Could it surpass the Death Star Darth Vader as the biggest Star Wars Transformer?
megatroptimus
Probably. If not, that'd be a real let down.
Mister Gone
Lol I was thinking the same think, JC Penny's Wish Book Photo. I think those big ass Wings over his shoulder should be folded down as a cape. Mistransform?

Looks like an ad from the 80s… Looks like the figure has a hell of a backpack too! I still want it.

BBTS slapped up a pre-order for this guy today at $44.99. The nice part to know is that they are expecting it July 2011: Star Wars Transformers 2011 Class III Series 01 – Darth Vader/Anakin Skywalker to Star Destroyer/RAC – Star Wars 2010 – 2011 Star Wars Transformers
The current picture sucks. Tiny shot of the toy with some kid fiddling with it.

i'm looking forward to see yet another massive sized toy getting released! i do have a Death Star Darth Vader, but here's my problem….1. will it be released here in scotland & in the UK? 2.how much will it cost?(if it is)+ how are people supposed to afford it with the current economic climate? 3.@ the moment in scotland! we're being drip-fed starwars crossovers & with spring & summer coming up! that's not likely to change till much later in the year! & finally 4. So far…we've had Marvel & Star Wars Crossovers…but…where's the Star Trek, Dr Who & other sci-fi related crossovers?

Honestly, I'm having a hard time imagining this turning out well. Not because it's a Star Wars Crossovers figure, but because of the 4-modes. I would love to be proven wrong though.
I'm REALLY hoping they use the TIE bomber mold again. It would be most beneficial to a kitbash of mine, and I haven't had any luck getting a hold of the first, and only, use of the mold.
Toxicon
Sir, you are holding the fate of my wallet in your hands.

This weenie gets the Animated Shockwave treatment?!
Well, Hayden Christianson, anyway.

GOSH DANGIT, I WISHED I COULD TELL YOU GUYS ABOUT THESE!!! stupid non-disclosure form!!! i WILL say i'm pretty sure that EVERYONE should get the Anakin Skywalker one!
JetsAndHeels
Sounds very promising. I may end up buying this one for sure.
Mr. Sparklebot
If this turns out awesome, I will be all over this. Chances are, though, it'll be a crock of shit like most SWTF's have been.
Shin Densetsu
They are designed by the former Galoob Action Fleet team who was absorbed into Hasbro, same team responsible for the Titaniums IIRC.
I think IF TakaraTomy was brought onboard to engineer them we'd have a completely different scenario. With that said, there are some notable releases, but only a few IMHO:

I'm quite intrigued. I love Star Destroyers, faction-switchers, and let's face it, every toy collection ought to have a Darth Vader in it somewhere.
Buzzer-Bot
Wow, Star Wars version of Ani Shockwave. Neat idea.
Toxicon
Meant it all in good fun.
I had hoped the BLARING ANGRY CAPS would make it seem joke-y.
Dinobot Nuva
QFT, only time I can think of them doing that is with the Y-Wing mold, which went from Pilot to Anakin via remold, but those were both released in the last few year or so, so its still pretty recent.
Now what we SHOULD be concerned about is how they're gonna re-use that freaking fantastic Yoda mold.
Mr. Sinister
The fact I got BURRRRNNNNEEED doesn't change the fact that this will most likely end up a hot mess. But hey, you just keep buying them if it makes you feel better.
SPLIT LIP
We already have a CW-era Star Destroyer SWTF, and it's a clone body. Remoulds are commonplace in the line, but I don't recall them ever using clones as Jedi/Jedi as Clones.
Plus, it seems a little odd that a Darth Vader as a Star Destroyer and Anakin as a Star Destroyer (i.e. the same guy as the same ship) would be released side-by-side. I personally believe it will be a quad-changer.
And as said, it could be a spectacular mess, but it will be anything but boring either way.

I can see it working easily – look at Clone wars anakin's dress he's even got the Vader Chest plate and sometimes wears a cloak. and the Clone Wars era cruise is similar to a star destroyer it just has a different bridge are and some cut outs and is slightly different angle… it's doable certainly.
Its sort of like those Digimon toys which are more or less Deluxe and have 4 modes – they just armorise the two basic forms – and that is what you'd do here a republic cruiser on steroids is a Star Destroyer and Anakin with a swapped hand and boots a breathing pack and a helmet is Vader.
They don't even need to change his mech-hand they can put a light up feature in it even.
Heck they could even rejig the mould into the Emperor if they are clever
Rodentus prime
I'm betting that the magazine was told about alt modes for two new figures, got confused and listed it as just one – a quad changer doesn't seem very likely.
