Yet another Transformer has been the victim of a knockoff. Decepticon Fracture, from the 2007 Movie line, is the latest victim to suffer from a knockoff. While at first she might seem like a random choice to make a knockoff of, with the recent Botcon Mirage and Henkei Rijie Electro Disruptor Edition knockoffs and now this, it seems likely that every version of Mirage might eventually be knocked off.
Fortunately in this case help is at hand – 2005 Boards member yuujin-mikeru has put together a very helpful identification guide that you can check out after the jump.

I got the refund for my KO Fracture yesterday, which is good, but I'm still down $4 for all the incidentals (i.e. travel fare, food and drink) and also lost time. This is a bad experience, I tell you.
Anyway, after getting my refund I checked out stores in Greenhills Shopping Center, it's like a mecca for toy collectors here in Manila, and saw the KO Botcon Mirage and KO Henkei Rijie Electro Disruptor displayed at one of the stores and checked the signs I pointed out in my how-to-tell guide for KO Fracture and they all match on the two. It looks like my KO Fracture was made by the same KO maker as KO Botcon Mirage and KO Henkei Rijie Electro Disruptor. No Transformer made out of the Classics Mirage mold is safe from being KOed now.

Yup, they're actually being sold as genuine ones. You'll notice the differences if you make a side-by-side comparison. Or if you have the authentic ones.
The most common KO I think is the TFTM Legends Bee. The telltale signs:
– the packaging looks paler/faded
– there is a piece of scotch tape at the bottom of the package
– the paint apps are really bad, the Autobot logo on the chest is smudged/deformed
– the metal parts of the wheels are rusted/tarnished

There are KOs of these babies that look like the real thing ?

It's weird that I haven't seen this one pop up on Taobao. I saw every other one there first before they were announced here or on KOToys. But I scoured the Transformer listings last night and didn't find one single Fracture.

Thanks for the warning. Hope you do get your money back.
Mainly because Fracture is Crasher from the Gobots. They used a different name for trademark reasons, but it's her. Fracture being a female Decepticon makes her rare in just about any character lineup.

I wonder why she's so expensive for someone who showed up for about 30 seconds, then was rammed off the road.

Add to the list:
– TFTM Premium Bumblebee
– TFTM Deluxe Stealth Bumblebee
– TFTM Legends Bumblebee

I just got news from Cybertron Philippines about this KO Fracture. She's now rampant in, Divisora, a shopping district in Manila full of flea markets, she's selling there for $13. There's also report of KO ROTF toys like, Voyager Demolishor, HA Bumblebee and HA Sideswipe, in nearly authentic packaging.
I'm a little scared now to go toy shopping because of this.

Thanks for the review, but these are so minor differences, you will never guess it from a blurry Ebay photo.
What I'd instead like to know… how is the plastic quality? I got the KO Henkei Skywarp this weekend, and the whole thing is made from the shiny, cheap-ish plastic… it is not brittle or weak, but you just look at it and know it is a KO. Is this the same case?

I recently lost an auction for a MOC Fracture, I wondered if it was a Knock Off or not.

The Ebay prices I've seen for MOC has been in the $30-40 range. I can't recall seeing many loose ones lately.
Why do I know this, you may be wondering? Because I missed out on that figure a few years ago, now I want one, but I'll be damned if I'll pay over $20 for a re-painted Wal-Mart toy from 3 years ago.
I just don't want her that badly.
I wonder how much that KO is going for????

At least the seller is trying to be honest.

All five of mine (Mirage, Henkei Mirage, Clear Mirage, Fracture and Drag Strip) have the exact same defects/details as Mirage has in the first post in this thread.

um wow knocking off a walmart exclusive, what's next? ko desert themed tuner mudflap?…i noticed that the ko package doesn't have the 'only at walmart' sticker so i'm guessing us sellers with the walmart sticker on package are still 'safe'.. until they smartened up and transfer the sticker from other walmart items.

Fracture was always going to be valuable for the reason that she's based on the Gobot Crasher and that it's still very rare to have any female Decepticons of any toyline at all.
If they are getting so much use out of this mold lately it would be jolly good fun if they made this mold in G2 Wasp like colousr that the Spychanger/Gobots Mirage has.
