KOToys has posted a selection of images of the upcoming Reveal the Shield Legends Class Megatron, Starscream and Trailcutter. These three Legends are nice recreations of the original toys, with updated looks and at a pocket sized scale. Of particular interest as well as the comparison images, you can see that Starscream now has black paint on his head, while Megatron now has the tip of his barrel painted blaze orange.
Check out the images by clicking on the title of this story – and remember that if Megatron’s orange tip offends you, there are always silver sharpies.

Yeah, I guess it's a fusion, but it still feels like it's 90% old Microman model, with some small nods to the final toy.

Nevermore
Not quite.
SMOG
Exactly. In fact, isn't Megatron's animation model more based on an unreleased prototype or pre-production model for the toy that would eventually become Megatron?
I think I've seen pics of the unused Microman Walther P-38 design, and it's pretty clear that Megatron on the G1 cartoon was based on that, not the final toy.

It's also what happens when the Legend is actually based on that animation model, but the original toy predated the model by several years.
blue death
well thats what happens when you add an extra 25 years of engeneering and know-how to the equation, it couldn't possibly have looked worse. lol
megaxz01
It's sad when a Legends class figure is 99% accurate to the animation model, while the first toy of said character (Megatron), looks like cockatron (ie piece of shit).
blugel
these should be in stores any day now, no?

I asked the seller again about Megatron and he changed his original no orange tip answer to orange tip. Meh.
SMOG
The fact that this is still a in some minds a "safety" issue and not simply an issue of pure bureaucracy is the funniest bit.
Btw, Fosterlager… sent you a PM last week. Did you get it?
zmog
Foster
HEY. Safety isn't fun, it's the most SRS of BIZNESS.

Because nobody can''t be bothered to read anything that's gone before in threads that's not on the same page
I don't care either way anyway. Think the orange cap is fun.

Why do I feel like we just had the very same discussion with the very same people already?
Digilaut
Maybe it's an early version before it was decided the full production run would feature orange caps? Or maybe it is meant for a different market?
mykticon
Woops, my bad I didn't even notice. I blame kids being off of school and lack of sleep LOL

A buyer from a previous auction asked if the toy actually had the orange tip and the seller said no orange tip. Now did the seller just look at his auction pictures or the actual product, I don't know.
Nevermore
You are aware that the photo from the auction is a Hasbro stock photo?
