The Hunt for the Decepticons-branded repaint of Legends-class Devastator has been released in the United States. 2005 Boards members VnXnV and panzerjedi reports finding the Toys ‘R Us exclusive at stores in California. saw this today, didnt even know it was coming out, i passed on original version, didnt see walmart or japan versions, but i like the look of this, the nostalgic green really works for me, and the windows on the vehicles are purple!

Bought mine today, Im curious to see if they are a bit hard to get. They come 4 to a case, and I think maybe 1-2 cases per store.
Easily one of the best TRUE combiners for Devastator. I wish it had more purple, but what can you do about that?

I was waiting for this because I was mildly interested in the mold (even though I'm not that into the movie aesthetic) because I love G1 homages, however I didn't really want to import it because I didn't want it THAT badly.
Without purple there's really no point in this existing. It sounds silly to say it, but it's true. The only reason this was repainted was to homage the G1 Devastator, right? Then why the hell isn't it homaging the G1 Devastator? This thing fails at doing the only thing it was meant to do. Easy pass, especially for that price point (I know the other Legends Devastator cost that much and I didn't like it there either).

Picked it up today, and while it doesn't look nearly as good at the Takara version, it actually doesn't look that bad in person (and I am not even that big a fan of the original). He is definately really green, but the highlights and wheels almost break it up enough for me.
Edit: Damn it, now I am gonna want the Takara version to complete the trifecta. For a mold that I don't really like, this may get expensive.

I already have the Wal-Mart version and I'm happy with it, so I'll pass on this. Surprised that it's out already, though. TRU seems to be getting a lot of their new exclusives (MP Grimlock, Rodimus/Ironhide, this) in all at once, for some reason.

Well, I've already got the regular version, and that's enough for me. And SHEESH, Scavenger can look good no matter what color he is, even in this set. Even so, he's the best one outta the bunch (mold-wise, at least), but that's just me.
