Just when you thought it was safe to back in the water…
A member on ACTOYS.net has posted new photos of five out of the six toys from the Generation One Seacons from 1988. These freaky fish were last seen as Transformers Collectors’ Club exclusives in 2008. Now these new photos, one with the telltale “NOT FOR SALE” markings on Tentakil, are leading to speculation of another release of the molds. Will they be in Takara’s Encore line, a US store exclusive, or maybe a convention exclusive, seeing how both Botcon and San Diego Comic Con are coming up?
Also, why is Overbite miscolored, and where is Snaptrap, the “Butcher of the Bogs”? Discuss below!

I hope Hasbro released the seacons, Prianacon could become my first ever g1 combiner, however it's going to be a expensive reissue…It's more likely Encore.
Foster
It varies, from $49 to $89 depending on the set contents.

Is that the cost of the attending exclusives? You'll have to forgive my ignorance, since I've only ever bought the non-attending box sets and gotten the other stuff on the aftermarket…

Encore it Takara!!! this will be sweet with Predaking and Pirianacon standing side by side

My wallet is bawling already.

The thought of a G1 bundle of Piranhacon and Universe G1 colors Breakdown crossed my mind. Most likely not, but you never know.

Why not? It sold out the first time they offered it and would most likely do so again.

For one thing, this doesn't actually count as news, yet. Some dudes in China found some pre-release figures, that happens all the time. If they'd found something that we know to expect, then we could easily identify what these are intended for. But as of now, these figures have come out of nowhere, and all we can do is speculate.
Also, finding news isn't that hard. Just… ya know… refresh the front page of this website a few times a day??

But would the Club be handling the release of these again?

While it seems logical that these could be the $89 price point Con exclusive (previously used molds by TFCC and matching color scheme to Skybyte and Gnaw), I doubt those of us who are attending could be so lucky. I believe patience is in order on this one.

OK thanks. I just don't wanna miss my chance for anything since I would really love to own something like this in the G1 style. Its just hard to find out news about all the new stuff that could possible hit cause I don't have anyone to let me know anything. If it wasn't for the thread about the Fans project I wouldn't have know about that 1 either.
Foster
You're getting ahead of the facts. We don't yet know where to find these, when, or for how much.
Angelwave
We don't know what is going on with these Seacons………

Are these going to be open for Club memebers that are NOT going as well to the Botcon show. I really want these but not totally sure HOW can I get these when the time comes. Can someone help me out by letting me know all that I need to do in how to get this set.
Feralstorm
Check through the thread for more info, but basically mold issues (flash, rough edges) and joints and pegs are a mix of too loose or too tight. I had to assemble the combined form in a specific way to guarantee it would actually assemble and stay assembled.

Yeah, but that's like a lifetime for a housefly!
