A Casting Call list from acting-auditions.org has revealed the Principal Photography dates scheduled for Transformers 3.
Shootings for Transformers 3 will run from May 17th to July 1st. The short shooting schedule means that the 3rd movie will most likely be CGI heavy.
The shooting locations are now listed as Chicago, Detroit, Washington DC, Florida, Texas, Africa, Moscow and China.

Yes, we should go back to Hell. It seemed like such a nice place with tall spikey spires and rivers of glowing, hot liquid. I can totally see why they were trying so hard to save that.
FanimusMaximus
Less than a month of shooting=less human stuff…. oh yea this is gonna be good.
Waveride
Was it today that they were doing some shots on location?
RedAlert Rescue
Perhaps part of the movie will be the return to Cybertron (or should that be spikey-tron).

Well, at the time we were in a bit of a financial bind. Even getting paid as an extra, I still would've had to come out of pocket for some expenses, and put a ton of miles on my car in the process. So in hindsight, she was right — it wasn't the best idea at the time. But still, it was TRANSFORMERS! I would've sold off some beloved pieces from my collection just to be there and reimburse our account to pay for the trip, but there's something you have to learn in a married relationship: If the wife disapproves of something and you still go ahead and do it, she will forever remind you about it later and how it made her feel that you didn't trust her instinct…especially if it *does* turn out to be a bad idea.
If I manage to book a day on TF3, though, I'll find some way to make it work.

If one were to have some sort of stereotypical Indian accent, I'd die rolling in the floor of the theater. From laughter

I just want different accented robots to show well… an international cast of Autobot and Decepticon "races".

He shot The Bad Boys movies here. Let's hope he brings TF3 to Miami. I hope I find out ahead of time so I can make plans to drop by.

im in ft lauderdale so im looking to be wherever they are filming. id guess miami beach or somethin. doesnt bay have a house down there?
VaderPrime1
I hope the go more into the seekers and Soundwave. If they develop Soundwave more and he gets a lot of screen time, I wouldn't care if they didn't bring in any more robots, frankly.

From what I understand even after the set shots are done Bay is still a very hands on director working with the teams until the finial cut of the film is finished. Yea it's not rushing off to a set, but the guy is still going to be working his butt off for a long time on Transformers 3.

he definately is not lazy, and despite how much critisism his movies get he puts a lot of effort in what he feels makes a good movie. other than ROTF all his movies finish on time..as he would say he gave them away….ROTF was taken away…

Physical locations are more difficult to arrange and set up (and if a shot doesn't go properly, even longer to re-do). If the article is accurate, and this movie features 25% less on-location shooting than Movie 1, then to me that means a less-hectic schedule for Bay himself. Now, for the CG artists, that's another story…..

Looks more like :
Southern New Jersey (near 3-Mile Island?)
Somewhere in New Mexico (Roswell?)
Central Illinois (looks like around Champaign- Could REO Speedwagon have something to do with the Seekers?!)
Somewhere in Upstate New York (the X-Mansion? -just kidding)
Central Texas.
Oddly enough, none of those green lasers is pointing at Washington DC.

I don't know if it equals an easier schedule for Bay. Once the shooting on location is done there is still tons of work left for Bay to do. For all his flaws as a director being lazy is not one of them so I'd imagine he's going to be working on the film until the very last minute like he always does.

Africa? Moscow? DUDE!
Moy
How'd you guess?

I called this months ago. The fact that Bay agreed to do this film in the amount of time they're doing it suggested this (less locations & shootings = less physical prep = easier schedule for Bay).
Word. Does anyone know the actual location?
deceptifocus
crap so the eastern european thing is for Chicago? damn too bad its not for the Texas, im a big Polish guy with alot of firearms experience.
