About a month ago, it was revealed that Hasbro has filed a trademark application for Power Core Combiners. Today, the reason was revealed courtesy of 4Chan. As many suspected, Power Core Combiners will be part of a new, upcoming Transformers toyline. One of the initial figures appears to be Huffer, which features TARGETMASTER (!!!) partner Caliburst. The released image features the packaging with a mock-up of the figures inside. No other information has been revealed.

I think a Chevy SSR might work for him.

Yep I know Kup was a Targetmaster that was part of the reason I though this line was the ideal place for an Update of him.
As for an Earth Mode the only vehicle I know of that might be suitable is either one of those pick ups that is loosly based on a 1940's style but in modern (Rollie in Defying Gravity has one) or one of those small Pick ups designed for carry surfboards.
Otherwise just a normal pick up I feel wouldn't look right. I suppose something like that Gold LaserRod/Illuminator Pick Up might work the retro look might at least fit the character… but still it's tricky to ponder what wouldn't look out of place on him.

Kup needs an update. He actually did have a Targetmaster toy, and his partner was named Recoil. He would look good as a rather new kind of pick-up truck, yet with his old-man face and characteristics. Old TF =/= old alt-mode. However, if we was in WFC, even as an NPC, they could make an even better toy! He was a cool futuristic truck in 1986, so a Cybertronian mode could work to emulate that style.

If this is the direction Hasbro is moving in m willing to open my wallet. The grabbed my attention for the first time in a LONG time with the Human Alliance sub line and the only other concept that would improve upon that (human mini figures with transforming vehicle characters) would be a return to the Headmasters and Target Masters.
All i ask is that if Head / Targetmasters are made that they arent little bricks and have updated articulation . As much as i loved the art depicting the target Masters the actual weapon robot was a huge let down. Headmasters as well to a lesser extent thanks to the headmasters having shoulder joints to simulate actual piloting/driving.

I'd like to see Kup made in this style – but I worry that he'd look a bit odd with an Earth Mode – so perhaps he need to be linked to the Videogame offerings instead (even if he's not in it).

Gonna wait for more definitive pics before I decide to be excited or not

They honestly look like a mix of movie designs and Universe design!

Microns forever!

Tell me about it, I absolutely LOVE those little beepers! I want more… but then I'd have to buy another Unicron to hold them all. The Unicron I have now is displayed in robot mode with all my minicons attached.(there's no more room!) Did you know ROTF Arcee's sidecar can act as a Minicon seat? It's just the right size!
they need to release more Minicons.8D
Back on topic:
I can't wait for these to hit stores.. The little Minions (minicons, headmasters, targetmasters) are the best part!

A FEMAXIANS reference! Hells yeah!

Folks:
I like Armada, partly because it's the series that got me back into collecting. The minicons did it. Love those tiny TFs. I don't worry about scale; I just consider them to be a sort of "Microverse Transformer" that just happens to be different in size, just like the Earth humans are 1/8 the scale of the Femaxians.

RID was a fan-favorite, yes, but if you look back over the talk from Hasbro about sales-numbers, Armada UNQUESTIONABLY did them the kind of crazy-business that the TF brand hadn't seen in years.
Love it or hate, we're at with the brand where we are on the foundation that Armada laid.
EXACTLY, those Beast-Wars re-tools with the hard-points came about because they were selling SO much product that they needed to fill some pegs and FAST. With no time to develop brand-new product (Which tells you how unexpected the scale of success was) they had to whip something out very quickly.
I for one LOVE Armada. There are some poor molds, but the play pattern is all late-era-G1 in the ways that I ADORE. I still remember the CRAZY bidding war over the first few Armada Primes that Hasbro pitched in for charity at BotCon etc. It was fresh, it was new, it had play-value, it was awesome. I think any Armada-hate is pure nostalgia-glasses-in-reverse.

Well, yeah.
Honestly, i deserved this rather literal minded and factually correct forum-post beatdown for overestimating TFW's capacity for irony. Clearly i flew a little too close to the ironic/moronic wire there. For the record i was 'trolling'. That is to say, following up a carefully considered and well balanced post with an oblique, facetious and utterly contradictory statement. You moderators should know better though, i'd demand my money back if i wasn't too tightfisted to donate owt.
i know not everybody hated armada. fanbois love everything hastak knock out, regardless of how entirely without merit it is.*
*yes! well spotted.
