Finally got my hands on a leader Starscream. He was never released to store in my area so I finally got around to ordering him on Ebay for a decent price.
A Damn fine figure. I know people these don't like Leaders, but personally I think there's nothing quite so magical as a well designed Leader class figure. Revenge Optimus and Dark Sentinel are good examples. This figure, too.
Love the retractible guns on his arms, and attaching the weapon with the missile launcher makes him look really loaded. Also I like how he's kind of 'in scale' with most deluxe class figures. And he looks great with the other leaders.
If I had to sell the rest of my collection (and my body) to obtain this figure, I would. Holy God.
Also, I can't believe I'm the first to notice this but…both his packaging and his body use the G1 Decepticon logo. This actually doesn't thrill me on such an otherwise accurate Starscream, but it's an incredibly minor issue.

Both. I've been getting sick of the movie toys for some time…but this Starscream…ergh…hard to resist. He's very movie-accurate, has tons of weaponry on him, good paint job…dammit, Hasbro, quit tempting me! >_<

It's kinda weird how quickly Leader-Starscream-mania died down, isn't it? It still gets brought up every now and then, but the sight was foaming with the stuff back then.
Probably because there's been no new news. Once fully completed versions start showing up on ebay and then in stores I suspect we'll see all of the excitement again. He really is an excellent figure.
