Jim Sorenson, the writer of the Transformers Animated Allspark Almanac, has put up a five page preview of this essential companion book to the show on his blog, Disciples of Boltax. These five pages give a nice flavour of the breadth of material covered in the book – character profiles (with multiple head sketches showing different expressions) and episode summaries, both written in an in-universe style by the characters of the show themselves. Also shown is one of the interstitial pages which covers the early sketches of how the transformations were designed on the show.
Check out all the preview images by clicking on the link above. Transformers Animated: The Allspark Almanac goes on sale tomorrow, August 19th, and is truly a must have for all fans of the series. And if you live near Burbank, be sure to stop by the Emerald Knights Comic Book Shop this Saturday, the 22nd between 2 and 3pm to meet Jim, Bill Forster and Derrick Wyatt and ask them to sign your copy of the book.

Well, as I said, Hasbro is continuing Animated in other medias (Toys), and IDW wants to do another comic. What I said is perfectly fine.
Beastbot X
Eh, I was actually the one who asked that question at Botcon. They said they were engaged in "early talks" with Hasbro about an Animated comic. I wouldn't call those concrete plans, though it certainly is a step in the right direction, and good sales of the Allspark Almanac would be another step.

It was only released to comic shops I believe. That's where everybody seem to be getting their copies.
Yeah. This was talked about at BotCon. Animated is only dead show wise. Hasbro plans to continue it in other medias, and IDW wants to give the comic another shot.
AniProwl
According to Jim S, Animated might have a fourth season in the panels of IDW if the sales are great for this book.

im a little ticked off. ive been to 6 book stores in the san diego aria. and all of them say this book isnt supposed 2 come out until mid September! but ive seen people who bought it the day it came out! i suppose i might half 2 resort to amazon.. but any time i order something from there, it alwase showes up at the very least, 4 or 5 days late.
but i do suppose it is worth it. even if it dosnt cover season 3, it still looks like a must have book.
Thundershot
Mine's on order from amazon, but does it have Thrust & Dirge?
Man, I wish some company would bring Generations over to the US…
RidgeRanger
i found it @ my comic book shop today. good stuff. can't wait for a book with the season 3 stuff in it.
Sso02V
I hope that's the case. Figures the first time I pre-order something from them, there's a(n) (alleged) one month waiting list.
Jarodimus
Pretty sure the same thing happened when I ordered one of the Ark volumes from them. It only took about a week for them to ship it, rather than the stated 1-2 months.
MechaV
Amazon's being really weird about it, I just ordered mine and it said it would take (at least) a month. Go figure.
Sideswipe80
I Hope Amazon shipped mine.
UTF
Pretty much everyone from seasons 1 and 2.
MechaV
That settles that then, ordering this bad boy right the heck now.

Yes, yes, yes, and yes. They all have their own sections.

Just got the almanac and its a work of beauty. Things I especially appreciate are:
*Explaining Cybertronian measurements
*The pages of human background characters
*The early sketches from the aborted Hero franchise
*Including the comic only stories with the cartoon episodes in chronological order
*Vector Prime's notes on this universe's Optimus Prime.
MechaV
Anything on guys like Soundwave? Wreck-gar? Mixmaster and Scrapper?
Ani Blackout
Got mine at my local comic shop.
