Scoringsessions.com has posted an interesting article with a behind the scenes look at the creation of the score to Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen by composer Steve Jablonsky. The article includes lots of pictures from inside the recording studio, as well as details describing how some of the songs were put together.

*** A NOTE OF CAUTION ***
If you don't want to be spoiled by any little thing before seeing the film, DO NOT read the names of the tracks for this score! The tracklist revealed a couple things that I wish I didn't know about, so BEWARE!

It'd be nice if they released the full 110-minute score; I felt the 45-minute one was a bit lacking. To me, it doesn't have the same type of emotional pull that the score to the first movie has. It's nice that several leitmotifs from the first movie were briefly touched upon, but I would have liked to have heard them revisited more.

One of the comments to the story is bizarre i.e. the guy griping about Arrival to Earth not being on the current score.

i love this dude. his score for the first movie was awesome. he ranks as one of my favorite movie composers of all time. right behind john williams and his star wars works. i was very glad to hear that he was returning for rotf.
