CGI Still of Optimus and Jetfire Combined mode

Well, wouldn't it be fun if they could actually combine like that ?

But one thing though, according to this cgi image :

I really don't see how they could make jet fire combine with prime, without first taking jetfire apart. Just look at the leg armour for example;

to get that to look like the cgi is, you'd probably have to split the leg of jetfire into 5 parts, and just tack them all together around prime's leg.

I don't know about you guys, but i don't like partsformers.

I would rather have two functional leader classes, that when combined, are at least accurate to the cgi from the waist up .. than to have jetfire turned into a parts – former.

Thanks, been lurking the news page (and the associated comments) for years now.

I've been trying to avoid plot details (although i have stumbled over more than a few deaths in ROTF, some people need to be more careful of spoilers) so i have very little idea what happens when they combine, i just hate the huge backpack.

Seems like they could have integrated it into the overall supersize much better.

I'm still wondering what those tail parts are attached to the engines, they seem too deliberate to be there for style reasons, but their function just isn't jumping out at me. Unless they rearrange for a flight mode.

And i don't think i will ever like those cockpit shoulder pads.

I'm sorry… but this is f***ing hilarious!!! It's like they're rubbing salt in your wounds with that Prime/Jetfire CGI! If you couldn't do any better, you shouldn't have done it in the first place!

I think this looks awesome! Besides, the movie franchise took Primes greatest upgrade accessory (i.e. The Matrix of Leadership), and replaced it with an "All Spark" that did not augment him in any way. I think a Jetfire combo upgrade gives him that little something extra back especially when it looks this great.

Great CGI for a wallpaper, wish the toys were like this but not possible for the average amount of $$ we like to pay — but agree it would be an awesome combo.
So its my new wallpaper too…

I think they really should have just made a new voyager Prime and then design that combine with a leader Jetfire. The scale would have worked so much better.

Ah well, I guess we shouldn't obsess over what should/could have been.

Though I really do hope they make another verison of like a two pack with a smaller scale Prime that comes with a Jet that turns into armor.

Ah, you beat me to the idea! So this is how they get round the whole "Blackbird is bigger than truck" dilemma: by just going with it, and having Jetfire basically smother Prime in parts. That being so, I too wonder if it might have worked better if this were a Voyager/Leader combo, or even a Deluxe/Leader…

This. Seriously, could (theoretically) have worked better and been less compromised…

Dreamworks designs the movie Transformers. Hasbro takes their "robot mode" and tries to make a toy out of it. More times than not, Dreamworks is requested to "dumb down" their model(s).

Well considering Jetimus Prime looks pretty dumb, I guess Dreamworks did their job. Haha!
