Sad news for fans of Transformers Animated – The Transformers Collectors Club Store has begun to email customers who preordered the Deluxe Class Animated Arcee to advise them that their preorders have been canceled, as “Hasbro canceled Arcee for the time being.”
This also leaves the fate of several other upcoming Animated toys, including Animated Electrostatic Soundwave with Ratbat, Rodimus Prime, and Cybertron Mode Ratchet in question. It is hoped that Hasbro might give some answers to the ultimate fate of the Transformers Animated toy line at Botcon, but sadly the outlook is not looking good.

Compared to the 2007 movie line, it obviously was.
and looking at the various animated merchandise, hasbro was obviously expecting movie-level success from the line. it's plain to see that it wasnt a movie-level success.
and that's how it was an under-performer.

….its 2009 what toy company is not in the crapper
Dinobot Nuva
Kicky has kind of driven home that it was. Note Hasbro taking losses this past quarter or whatever.

we don't know that animated was an under-performer

Leave their fetishes out of this. Your time in "The Fandom" is irrelevant, if you are being unrealistic and dickish, then you just are.

Thanks for the info PrimulArchangel. For the time being, i think its safe to hold onto hope of Animated Arcee being released. I would how ever prefer her not to be released under the Universe line, as it MAY mean we wont see a Classics Style Arcee.
I too was hoping to get Arcee before the new movie line was released.
While I agree that this isnt entirely Hasbro's fault, it would have been nice for them to communicate to us that it is delayed (so far as we can tell), even it they tack on unforseen circumstances as their reason.
I agree that by doing nothing, nothing with change or happen, but by taking action we are not necassaryly throwing our arms out in protest, just that we need to be seen as having seen what is or isnt happening with this.

QFT! And a very mature way to see our relationship with Hasbro.
Thanks for the info.
Those look amazing. *adds to wishlist*

Here's your Titanium Unicron:
Hi, I'm Unicron. For a time I considered sparing your Matchbox cars.
Honestly, an ultra-sized titanium Unicron?? If none of the other titaniums could stand up straight, how do you figure that one will?
The rest of your post, likewise, made no sense.

The attitudes of certain fans when they can't get their own way are completely embarrassing.
I wonder what Hasbro workers truly think when they read through some of the ignorant crap spouted online.

I can kinda picture this being an Air Attack Optimus Primal or Megabolt Megatron sorta thing.

Maybe an on-line retailer exclusive like they did with the GI Joe line. Since it spread the exclusive over several stores instead of just one on-line retailer the Joe fans were fairly happy with the internet exclusive and the retailers were happy for the extra traffic and fans sharing where the best place to shop on-line was.
Does seem like they have a lot of options so fingers crossed we see the figure by one of the methods listed.

I can see all the fanbase embracing totally all Transformer movie toys from 2007 and 2009(sarcasm) and not buying 1 Animated or Classics Universe figure. Theres a fan consciousness that wants G1 inspired designs even if there only 12 years old. I expressed wanting a transforming Titanium Unicron and one moron in the audience said it would kill someone if you hit them over the head with it if it was ultra sized(thats why an age range is plainly stamped on the box) so a great idea flushed down the toilet. If you dont stand up and tell Hasbro what you want your useless and to prove the point tons of 2007 movie figures are flooding Ross and TJ Maxx(FYI Ross and TJ Maxx is bottom of the barrel to try to get rid of excess overproduced toys at prices that are usually 1/3rd of what they were at retail) were I live especially Robot Heroes.

Hopefully Arcee will be released at some point, I have 2 daughters (as well as myself) that each want one. That makes 3 right there Hasbro, please make it so!

True, and although I personally wouldn't care about crying fanboys, I agree it's the least likely of the ideas I presented there.
Veloxiraptor
At least if the toy is never released, there's a certain fairness in the idea that no one will have it. If the toy were only released as an overpriced con exclusive, well, that would be a shitstorm on a level heretofore unseen.

Lots of us have been around since the early days. But instead of an e-peen war, how about some ideas for ways Arcee (and others) could make it into production?
– ROTF packaging
– Return of Animated, post ROTF
– Universe 3.0, post ROTF
– Universe 2.0, retailer exclusive during the movie line's run (we've heard there's supposed to be some of these)
– HTS Exclusive or mail-away of some kind
– Botcon or FP exclusive (yes, it would be a first for a new mold)
Not all of these are necessarily viable, but we're just brainstorming. What else?

200 posts is still more than yours.
Please learn to lighten up. You seem to be a very angry and bitter person. Who cares how long you've been around the fandom? I was posting on Google groups long before it was even Google, and when people were still using dial up.
Btw, I have a life outside this fandom, and I participate when I feel like there is something interesting to talk about, not just so I can drive up my post count. Simple as that.

That was a Double Edged post. Pointing in 2 directions hence the Smiley.
