TF Club have released finalized images of their TFC-004 Gear of War accessory set for Transformers Classics, Universe and Henkei. The set includes the Autoscout Cassette for Soundwave, three larger shoulder mounted weapons for the likes of Universe Sideswipe or Classics Mirage, a ladder for Inferno (with an optional crane tip, to make a kitbash into Grapple that little bit easier to execute), and an “invisibility cube” for Mirage to represent the effect that surrounded him whenever he turned invisible in Generation 1. You can check out all the images by clicking on the title of this story.

I also got similar problem with the launcher, but I don't want to screw up the spring so I figure out a way to open them slowly using a (-) screwdriver.
I choose doing this from the bottom because I'm pretty sure I'll screw up the chrome in the process. What you have to do is remove the ring from both ends in order to open it. They don't use any glue in making this so when you open the rings, it's relatively easly to open them apart

I just opened mine for x-mas because i did bbts.com pile of loot and held on shipping it.

Dude! Wake up! 6 months old!

My missile got stuck in the launcher too. It took me a while to get the missile out, but it screwed up the spring. So I just pulled the spring out without breaking the launcher apart. I'm really disappointed about this.
They should have another set with just the missile/launchers. With mainly the black and silver chrome sets. Or non chrome black and white.

Okay. That's fucking creepy.

This thread is 6 months old man. Infact, the post you replied to is over 7 months old. Yikes.

use the black panel on his back. the more detail piece is parallel to the ground. the black piece goes thru the second hole of the ladder. the scorpion in on his left side.

Me too, I'm looking forward to it's arrival!

Received mine today along with my henkei red alert from tfsource
First the not so great:
– My missiles don't really launch and can get somewhat stuck pretty easily. But they are really going to be displayed so this isn't a show stopper, just not so nice especially sense they have springs and in theory should shoot.
– One of the pins in the auto scout wasn't put in all the way so I couldn't transform him into a tape, a few whacks with a little hammer pushing the pin all the way in and that was fixed though.
– The little antenna on the auto scout has two bumps to fit in place, but one side the bump is misshaped on mine so it comes out somewhat easily. Should be easy enough to fix later tonight though.
– The black chrome gun isn't a completely even covering.
– Had to trim excess plastic from the crystals (bits of the tree left on)
Onto the good:
– The autoscout is neat especially after I re-watched the episode it was in.
– The box is very nice and on the back of the instructions you will find a poster.
– The ladder is great which was why I got the set.
– When in tape mode viewed from the top it looks like the top of a real tape with a black line running across the top.
– I honestly didn't think anything of the invisible box and wasn't even going to bother with it, but had something compiling so put it together and it is a very amusing and unexpected that it works as well as it does. It is my favorite part of the set, of course now I have to get the clear mirage… Maybe it could be little bit shorter (was it this tall in the cartoon?) but I can always cut it to make it smaller.
– The guns look real nice on the various classics/henkei

BBTS just notified me that it has arrived and is ready to ship. Woohoo!

I got mine yesterday. And I have to admit: IT WAS WORTH EVERY EURO I PAID FOR IT!!! The quality of the product is awesome. The Autoscout feels very solid, just like if you bought it from Hasbro. The box looks very nice and has a very expensive and special touch to it. The launchers look cool with the chrome and the orange box for mirage is nice as well, but a little bit silly, which actually makes it clever again at the same time.
But there are some flaws:
1) No hook!!! Okay, as long as there is no Universe Grapple I don't care any more. But I sure hope the release this on in another set when Hasbro/Takara decides "Hey, we need another repaint! Let's do Grapple!"
2) The assembly of the invisible box is a real pain. I don't know. At least on mine the parts just don't want to work so good together as they should. In the end I used some glue strip to keep it in place. Still does look good. And funny and clever as hell!
3) The springs in the launchers do work but it might happen that the misses get stuck and you have to get the misses out somehow. And you have to use force.
So far I am thinking about removing the springs from the launchers somehow or disable them and make the missiles stay in permanently. The guns look awesome enough. For me as a collector this should have been simple guns and no launchers, but that is just my opinion. Has someone around here an idea how to do it? I don't want to break the launchers apart.
Only the last point is a real problem, but keep in mind: This might just be the case with my launchers!
Everyone out there who wants to buy a set and still does not know if he should be it: DO IT! This set is awesome! Support TFC with your buy so the can make another great set.
I personally would like to buy a "Gears of War set 2", with more launchers but some new add ons as well. Like smaller missiles for Universe/Henkei Ravage (the missles from this set a way to big), a coronation set for Universe/Henkei Starscream, a flamethrower for the Seekers (like in the G1 Episode),….
and the hook for Grapple!!!
This set gets 4 Bays out of 5. It's that awesome!
(Note: It doesn't get full rating because this set, or parts of it, may not be for everyones liking)
If I don't spend all my money on the new ROTF toys I am highly considering buying another set (for the extra launchers)

Ahhh, yeah, I was about to say, I didn't see any notice about the hook being club-only. Doop doo. Can you link me to the thread that actually contains that announcement?
Lack of hook aside, I am actually very impressed with the quality and workmanship on this set. It's all packed very professionally, and there's a LOT of stuff in this little box.
The instruction booklet is made to look like the current Hasbro instructions, and on the back it has an illustration of the boxart, serving double duty as a poster. It also has a link printed in the corner "To discover more details and extra playways!"

I'm still fiddling with the various bits in the box, but I'll probably write up a feedback post later.
Thundershot
Read the first page of this thread. There is no hook.
EDIT: woops, it's on the first page of the other thread…
BraveMax
The hook is for their club members. They mentioned that somewhere else on this thread… The mass-release version doesn't come with the hook.
What's the quality like?
ShadowStitch
This is strange… I received my GOW set today, and it all looks great, but I didn't get a little hook like in the pics. I don't even see a place for it in the box. I'm going to email them and ask…
Runamuck
So I'm guessing their isn't any way for his ladder to hook on his back like G1 Inferno…
And I'm surprised they didn't add his white "wings" that go on his back either….

Wait a darn second… is this "Omg I'm cloaked! You can't see me!" box part of this package? Is it built into the packaging box or something?
If so, then score! I shall never see my Mirage figure ever again!
