The Fallen has a cool design, I like it in a "ripped-from-all-other-sci-fi" kind of way, but as a toy it doesn't do anything for me.
And I don't see why we couldn't have had alt-mode images, either.

However it's not the bright green from the OP pics, it's a extremely dark green that gives the figure a certain elegance instead of bland black, in fact it's alot close to the CGI model, which isn't the same black as Barricade or Ironhide either, it got the same green-ish tint, however it's more subtitle due to NOT being made in plastic.

It still looks perfectly green there. I don't know what kind of camera flash you guys have but that is really green. I want to be wrong but if it's just the lighting color then man you guys must live in a radioactive zone

Also screw Premiums. Looking like they are "supposed to" is subjective there. Jazz was in the wrong silver color and Ironhide had those terrible allspark blue eyes and an Autobot logo on the hood. Prime lost detail in order to pick it up in other places. There were tradeoffs and neither version was really perfect… but the originals were clean without any ugly additions (like Ironhide).

He looks big but not as much as a transformer. More like a normal alien.

Much taller than I thought, he's almost leader sized. And the green isn't as bad as I thought…not nearly as bad.

We're getting to the point in scifi that everything looks like something that came before, so some comparisons of older designs aren't technically a bad thing.

everytime I see this figure, I think of the alien vs predator movies. Looks like someone in charge of this design was a big fan of that series. I dont see a transformer in the fallen, I see something left over from that franchise, but maybe thats just me.
once on the big screen, maybe my perception will change.

I'm on the fence with this one, I don't enjoy the head being lower than the shoulders or the other faults mentioned.
