Screenwriter Roberto Orci has answered more of your questions about Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen! When asked what he believes fans will be the most pleased with, Roberto stated something that will please most die-hard fans:
I think the fans will like the seriousness with which the Transformers mythology is treated, and the closer characterizations of some of the main Transformers. He also states that there are so many “money shots” in the movie that a 20-minute trailer couldn’t even fit them all. Roberto also confirms that the addition of Jolt as the Chevrolet Volt was a last minute addition to the movie that resulted in adjustments to the story. He also states that we’ll see members of Captain Lennox’s squad beyond Epps return for the movie. When asked to chose what Transformer he would like to add for the thrid Transformers movie, Roberto stated that he would like to add Unicron for “scale’s sake”. While that is not confirmation that Unicron will be in the third movie, it does bring hope to the fans of the Chaos Bringer.

As always, the staff of TFW2005 thanks Roberto Orci for answering this latest round of questions. If you have a question that you would like to ask, you can ask it in the Welcome Mr Roberto Orci You May Ask Him Questions Thread on our 2005 Boards

I'd like to extend our thanks to Mr. Orci for taking the time to answer people's questions and be part of our community here at TFW2005, and also thanks for contributing to the mythos and lore of Transformers. I'm sure his work will be hotly debated for many years to come.
And with that there seems little reason to keep this thread open. Thanks to everyone else for stopping by and keeping Mr. Orci busy with your questions.

Was it asked anywere in the thread of how much of Orci's script was changed to what appeared on the screen? Did Bay change a lot or was it pretty faithful to the writer's script?

Goodbye Mr. Orci. I'm looking forward to Fringe Season 3, the next Star Trek and Transformers! Just make sure Bay sticks with your ideas instead of throwing in his. Make sure he doesn't take out a bunch of stuff like ROTF.
I know you probably won't but tell Alex Kurtzman I said hi!

But this is our last reply here. Thank you all again for the attention Perhaps we'll find ourselves on another board for some other project.
Take care of yourselves!

Making a movie like this is so complicated, that it doesn't really bother me. When you are negotiating a story/script with a media conglomerate (VIACOM), Michael Bay, the US car industry, Hasbro, and no less than the Pentagon… it's not like anything most people can really imagine. It is certainly not like sitting in a New York cabin like Steven King and just typing away at your novel.
