The Ganbo-Store Blog has been updated indicating that their Henkei Thrust will have detachable VTOL engines, meaning they will be able to connect to the main wing. In addition, the rotor of the fan engine is articulated so you can rotate it with your finger.

I think it's funny how it seems like there are more people complaining about these 'apparently' invisible posts about Botcon Set owners. I don't think I've read one post, recently at least, about Botcon Owners actually being mad, just people who think it's funny that they will be complaining.
Either way, I think overall the only people that will be bummed about henkei versions of Botcon stuff are the people who wanted to re-sell them for a profit and now the margin has dropped on TC, SW, and Dirge. Fans that bought the Botcon set are most likely fine with these recent releases, most will probably buy these too. Heck henkei Dirge seems superior to his Botcon repaint Ramjet version
The only Botcon seeker that probably wont drop in value is Thrust cuz no matter how positive you can be about the henkei version, the Botcon one has a better color scheme (as far as G1 goes) and the wings look really good. It's great that the VTOL parts can be switched and moved around but in reality you can never put them anywhere in jet mode to make them seem functional
A bit harsh don't you think? I didn't have any 'friends' on here until people started adding me but that doesn't mean I didn't consider a few people on these boards friends. I'm not even technically 'friends' with people on the boards that I actually hang out with in person

I never said that I was going to wait till Hasbro releases these molds. I don't even think they will. In fact, I preordered as soon as they were made available. Read my other post.

Well, considering the timeline:
*We have seen almost all of Universe that is getting release before the movie
*We are going to be getting a bunch more animated and animated repaints
*The movie will have a whole set of toys and we have been told UNIVERSE and MOVIE fill the same spot as Universe has been filler between movies
So if you take the 12-18 month product lifecycle Hasbro does per line, We have Universe until Summer 2009, and then Movie 2 from Summer 2009 to maybe the end of 2010.
*IF* these molds get brought over, they will possibly be 'homage filler' in mid 2010 or Universe filler in 2011. If you are willing to wait for a not-sure-thing then be my guest.
Oh, and that thrust looks even better with removable engines.
Bodhar2000
Yeah, I called Ganbo this morning and they also confirmed that it is removable. I already started ordering from ToyMarket and Ganbo for fans on this site, so please PM me if you want a set too. They stop pre-orders on December 10th.

I'll be your friend

Who needs friends when you have toys?!?
frilly toothpick
Maybe I should go read and memorize that, "How to make friends at TFW" thread HA![/QUOTE]
yeah me too, i really need friends.
dark69
i have not seen that much bitchin i have the 07 set and i still want T&D and i'm happy they are coming out so more fan's can get them who missed the 07 set
Wyvern
No, I didn't mean that. Sorry.
I've seen a lot of bitching from 07 Botcon set owners dating back to the announcement of Henkei Thundercracker/Skywarp. Not as much bitching as non owners but bitching none the less. Its entertaining to see how much grief a few chunks of plastic bring. I just don't understand why people get so worked up about this.
I preordered this set within the first hour it was made available at BBTS. Did the same for Thundercracker/Skywarp. I'm not missing out again. I feel stupid for missing out on the Botcon set. I had a chance to buy it but procrastinated and paid the price. I fucked up but never once have bitched about it. When and IF Hasbro releases these new seekers here in the states I will not bitch about paying $170 for these versions. Its pointless to bitch about such things. In this hobby one should know to expect the unexpected.
And about your no friends in five years comment… really… is that necessary? To tell you the truth, I don't care too much about making friends. I don't pursue it. I don't post much and I'm usually on when everyone is off. I'm more of a lurker. I've actually been on here much longer…since back before the 2005/Transfandom split. Its just been recently that I've decided to post. But if I'm coming off as an asshole I apologize. Maybe I should go read and memorize that, "How to make friends at TFW" thread HA!
Draven
You mean the Botcon 07 set owners who mostly haven't been complaining? FAIL.
Here for 5 years, and yet no friends. WHY IS THAT?
Wyvern
HAHAHAHAHAHA Imagine if Hasbro does release them here in the US. The bitching would get worse. Bitching from the Botcon 07 set owners, bitching from the people that shelled out big money for these Japanese versions… I can't wait!
giga-galvatron
hmmmmmmm pie
Robogeek28
Mmmmm, cookies.
protostar8
Unless Hasbro brings them here, which is actually a pretty realistic concept as the designs are different enough from the Botcon ones. Then you only have to pay like $10-15.
Runamuck
Yeah, it is. But you're not going to get cheaper unless you live in Japan. Just the way cookie crumbles, I'm afraid.
dmc2008
*sigh*
I was so excited when I saw those photos…
But this is waaaay too high for two deluxe retools…
*sigh*

Someone's got a hook up….
$130 shipped is probably as low as you're going to get, unless you have the aforementioned hook up.
Sammael
Shipped? How?
I'm likely going to pay around $130 shipped (fan2fan).
Viper_486
Ouch dude, your getting raped.
I only spent 90…
protostar8
Gotta say I think it'll look funky when the VTOL's are on the wings b/c they'll be sitting up on top of them instead of being flush with the wing. Almost defeats the purpose of a fan rotor when the wing is directly beneath the rotor…
